Sure blame Apple for protecting their property

10. Nocturne posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:07 16

Protecting your property is fine.

Trying to stifle innovation isn't.

28. Hemlocke posted on 25 Oct 2012, 05:23 5

What "innovation" is involved when you are infringing upon the IP of another company! Protecting your IP does the exact opposite of "stifling innovation."you are forced to either pay for doing something a certain way, or you find another way to do it. If it was not protected and it was a good method, companies would just use it for free and skip figuring out a better way to do it.

You say this as if Samsung isnt already making new products despite these bans and injunctions, its just that Apple keeps a tent in the courtroom and a sleeping bag on deck for every release date that Samsung or other major competition has, how much longer can we look at the news board and see that once again Apple has claimed that someone has stolen their patent (lets not forget they steal patents too) and then those products get banned, then those products are unbanned and the circle of death continues

37. -box- posted on 25 Oct 2012, 08:49 3

@Hemlocke: Xerox, the "inspriation" for the original macintosh. LG Prada, various Sony designs, and other generic designs: "inspriation" for iphone. Dieter Rams' designs for Braun: "inspriation" for pretty much everything coming out of apple since jobs' return which continues until now. Mitsubishi and others: "inspiration" for multitouch. Rio & other MP3 players: "inspiration" for ipod. Windows tablets and other tablet designs, as well as the concept of a thin interactive device (like a clipboard or writing pad): "inspiration" for ipad. Apple hasn't come up with anything actually new or innovative in years, if ever. Stop fooling yourself. You're a poison, as is your name.

One property was recently declared as stolen so to say ... bounce scroll was it?

20. ScottSchneider posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:33 2

Some dogs always bark but never bite... The same way Apple's only gonna throw law suits at everyone instead of innovating good products... We are all here for better innovation technology for our tomorrow... Stopping it is like eating pure Bull$h!t...

14. Jelly_Bean posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:13 7

Do whatever you want to do Apple, King will always be the King.

And you know what, Don't even think that you can come even near to the technology what Samsung and Google has.

25. syedzain posted on 25 Oct 2012, 04:51 2

Lol Google is supporting sam**** .. but apple they are doing their own OS.....

U know LG Is making Nexus 2.. and i like i-phones much , but i hate SAM****. Nexus 2 will rock... ( As LG is producing it )

2. mas11 posted on 25 Oct 2012, 02:29 2

What are the devices in question? Are the the ones from the trial and if so who cares? It's not like any of them are new.

Feb is too long away ... 4 months is a big time in Android world :)
Apple can keep doing this and get nothing out of it except more sales for Samsung ...

Wrong button. Ment to reply above you. Can you delete? Haha

4. Retro-touch posted on 25 Oct 2012, 02:38 8

What I don't understand is why Samsung are getting a beating only in American courts yet those same law suits go very differently in Asia and Europe?????

6. rusticguy posted on 25 Oct 2012, 02:42 6

Jingoism prevails over principle of natural justice. Nothing uncomon. What needs to be seen is how many politicians hold huge stocks of Apple ... :)

9. Mxyzptlk posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:02 1 15

Bias and those countries don't believe in fair justice

17. rusticguy posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:29 4

Yes America protects culprit of one of the worst Industrial disasters in world. Do you know who? If not go back to school :)

23. tedkord posted on 25 Oct 2012, 04:09 1

You just described the American trial perfectly. Throw in retard with an agenda, and you've also nailed the jury foreman.

46. networkdood posted on 25 Oct 2012, 13:59

fair justice in America? Do some research you sound ignorant...

15. TheRetroReplay posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:24

It's because Apple's patents are so broad that it's really just a matter of opinion if someone is infringing or not.

38. -box- posted on 25 Oct 2012, 08:53

"Home field advantage", even though apple doesn't pay taxes in the US nor does it have any manufacturing jobs here. Samsung does both.

43. xtremesv posted on 25 Oct 2012, 10:44 1

The problem within US political system is lobbying, a subtle way to bribe politicians. In the States is acceptable that large companies “donate” big amounts of money to gain political favors. I don’t know but Apple with its endless bank account (almost as big as the US federal government’s) may do wonders. For the record, I’m not accusing anyone, Apple could sue me and they really excel at that.

47. networkdood posted on 25 Oct 2012, 14:00

BINGO!!!!

7. Topcat488 posted on 25 Oct 2012, 02:48 8

Please Samsung, make Apple remove LTE from their products... This patent has nothing to do with FRAND, the iphone5 will run perfectly on 3G networks... Please don't let them off the hook on this one... Thank You in Advance.

39. -box- posted on 25 Oct 2012, 08:54

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that lawsuit. Disappointed there hasn't been anything more on it

11. Savage posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:08 11

Who cares. Its not as if this is gonna boost Apple sales. As time passes, Apple's new devices are getting lamer and lamer.

12. rcwfox2002 posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:09 5

Why is it only U.S. courts that side with Apple just shameful.

24. kamejoko posted on 25 Oct 2012, 04:23 1

Because U.S. courts eat money from apple.

13. nobelset posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:11 6

Nokia, samsung and Motorola are companies that are really old and respected :(

16. ddeath posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:27 5

Because Apple is a US company, that is why. They gotta protect their own economy. Thus only Apple can sell black rectangles with rounded corners, the most ridiculous patent in the world.

19. ddeath posted on 25 Oct 2012, 03:32 2

Funny thing is I've been banned from posting and voting because of whatever reasons I also don't know, when I'm using my mobile to surf to this website. Maybe I crap Apple and USPTO too much on their ridiculous patents and no one wants to face it. But I'm still able to post on the PC. Oh well. :p

Coming from someone who admits they hate Samsung and slates it defending apple

Why pretend to act all neutral when your just like most of the others, you have a undeserved sense of superiority

31. rusticguy posted on 25 Oct 2012, 06:25 3

Apple will burn under everyone's hatred.
I really wish samsung has a really good answer for all this. "we'll make our own patent office, with hookers and blackjack"

Using a Bender quote: You win 1000 internets!

30. Cyberchum posted on 25 Oct 2012, 06:01 2

If cr@pple really wants to protect their patent (do they really have one?) they should licence like Nokia, Microsoft et cetera do and not stifle competition like they do. It should be busy competing with itself 'cos i haven't seen a real innovation from the bitten fruit since the first iphone ( that is if you don't count gimmicks). All in all, US licence office is to blame.

34. Zayuh24 posted on 25 Oct 2012, 07:10 1

"Judge Thomas Pender ruled that Samsung has stepped upon Apple's patented turf regarding the design of the iPhone, its touchscreen technologies and for connecting headphones"

Ok, design patents, I can see (although it seems total BS to be able to patent a shape) but touchscreen patents and "connecting headphones" are allowed?! Somebody please tell me what kind of stuff the patent office is smoking to let this slide

35. Aeires (unregistered) posted on 25 Oct 2012, 07:20 5

Meanwhile, in a Dutch court Samsung was found to not be infringing on Apple's patents.

41. BREvenson posted on 25 Oct 2012, 10:29 2

Patents for "the design of the iPhone, its touchscreen technologies and for connecting headphones"...all three things that Apple did not create, but since they have the paperwork, they get all the credit and can sue anyone else who uses that technology. This is an injustice of the highest caliber, and the biggest reason why I hate Apple with a passion.

There is no logic or fairness involved in the US patent system, and because of that, Apple is the most powerful force in the business world...and it's complete bull.

42. remixfa posted on 25 Oct 2012, 10:42 1

yet, they completely ignore the story that came out yesterday that a judge in another panel told Apple to go to heck basically.

48. networkdood posted on 25 Oct 2012, 14:02

You mean that bounce scroll story?

49. pliskin1 posted on 26 Oct 2012, 00:00

They got a patent for connecting a headphone? I'm pretty sure every company and product that has a 3.5mm jack uses the same technologies. I'm so sick of this patent war BS.
