IDC sees tablet shipments rising faster than expected; firm raises estimate for 2012 and 2013

Thanks to strong consumer demand, IDC has raised the number of tablets it expects to see shipped in 2012 and 2013; the company expects to see 10 million additional tablets shipped this year and 23 million more tablets than originally estimated, to be shipped next year...

I personally think (not to flamebait here) the Windows tablets will increase and reduce the iPad share instead of android... Even though android may reduce as well... The iPad is the biggest loser here...
Isn't the forecasts make too optimistic toward the Apple?

I totally agree with you. IPad will maintain the lead, but it will be under 50% for sure if not in 2013 at least in 2014. And Windows tablets will grow much faster than the analysts expect as many will be replacing laptops instead.
Analysts tend to be very optimistic with Apple for some reason.
