IDC: Apple iPhone outsold in Italy by Nokia
0. phoneArena 25 Aug 2013, 01:21 posted on
According to research firm IDC, Nokia has been doing quite well in the U.K. and in Italy; in the latter country, a 17% increase in year over year smartphone sales for Nokia has allowed the Finnish based OEM to grab the second highest smartphone market share in the country for Q2. That puts Nokia behind only Samsung, but ahead of Apple...

Italians must be the ultimate Instagram users with those Nokia cameras. Taking all those pics of authentic italian food. Oh, wait ... No Instagram on WP. Ok, I got nothing ...

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of their bed this morning. From that trifle of a comment, ment completely in jest and in no way to be taken as an indictment of Nokia, WP or anything else for that matter, where did you come up with me being a "mindless fanboy" of anything?

You can go with what's popular, and what makes money for Samsung... We'll take our beautiful, well built and designed, quality oriented, innovative, and premium feeling Nokia devices... No device Samsung has ever made has as much innovation, style, quality, and originality as a Nokia Lumia 920... When Apple was in court with Samsung they used a Nokia Lumia 900 to show that it is possible to design a smartphone and not copy the iPhone... What does that say about Nokia vs Samsung❔.... But, I'm sure you don't care about anything I just said because you're probably saying "but Nokia isn't popular"" Yeah, that's the way I used to think back in junior high as well.. Follow the crowd, but don't do what's best for you.. Sounds like the definition of a sheep.

i got the s4 because its a 5'' screen in a small body and has slim bezel and most importantly for me has a sd card slot not because its ''popular''. i agree with you though a lot of people do get phones like the galaxy series and iphones because they are popular but lets be honest you need to be popular to succeed too and nokia are trying just as hard to become just as popular so they too have people who buy nokia lumias without thinking but because its popular also you only gain popularity on your pass success and people trust they will get a good device so many people just get galaxies or iphones becasue they have either had a good experience or someone they know has told them its a good phone. if a company can get friends to recommend phones then thats a huge bonus. in my secondary school days, nokia phones were the phones to have and am sure nokia are hoping for them days again. everyone has there time in the light, its a question of how long you can stay..i just buy the phone that fits my need, gave ios a go for nearly a year but was never for me, love android as it gives me the flexibilty i use to have with symbian and much more..

I believe many former Nokia user will come back to using Nokia if they have an Android phone coz there are still a lot of Nokia fans out there who are still sceptic about windows phone thus they move to android or IOS.

I'd definitely give a Nokia Android phone a shot. Could you imaging how clear the pics and call quality would be on one of those?!

They missed one major part since WP8 was introduced only 1.6 million lumias were sold for all of North America, that's the span of 9 months and this also includes both WP7 & 8 sales. Also Nokia sells over 85% of all WP units as well. So basically nokia is the only real player holding up WP. If only Nokia would have went with android.

Come back to Symbian❔.. Clueless you are... Nokia obviously choose WP because it's the best❕
