With Hulu and instagram wp8 will be getting a lot closer to where it needs to be.i wonder how many apps it has now. Last I heard it was close to 125,000. And that was months ago.

Microsoft's last statement had the number of apps at around 130,000.

But, IMO people put a little to much emphasis on quantity, not quality. I have around 60 apps installed on my phone, I only use around 10 daily (though, I hear the WP8's IE only lets you have 6 tabs open? I'd need a replacement browser if that's the case. I like to multitask and have around 10~14 tabs open at a time).

6 tabs which whicn runs full desktop pages, more than enough on a phone for me; open that many on an android tab running quad core and it's also almost the limit. I was ranting on my facebook the other day of my tab 's chrome browser freezing and crashing after opening 5 or 6 tabs of heavy webpage, and my friend told me im not supposed to open that many. I thought tabs are supposed to match the performance of a netbook at least, but android tabs are proving to be not productive at all.

Hey I was going to get a NOKIA 920 earlier this year, but my Girl Friend and the salesman talked me into trying the iPhone 5 out and I got hooked. Should I get a Nokia 920 or should I wait for the next generation of of windows phones?

Why Apps are developed when the OS is in the process of getting obsolete. It’s been 5 months already Win phone 8 was launched in November; still there are no major apps like Google maps or Facebook. Even WinPhone 8 has Facebook integration; it does not feel like using in on android or iOS. Next news will be “Chrome comes to Win Phone 7.5, then in Win 8 next year, and then in windows phone next version after a year…..and so on…

I thought the only reason Windows Phone 7.5 didn't get the 8 upgrade was because the kernel didn't allow it. It *should* be different this time around.

Androidtaker you clearly are just hating. No Facebook? We have a dedicated Facebook app by Facebook. Moron. And WP8 is not going obsolete. Did you just make these up in your mind and decided it'll be fact? Look, you like android or iOS or whatever, but whatever the case may be Windows Phone is here to stay. Dont try to argue against its progression. Mind your OS and we'll mind ours.

I'm not hating Win phone 8. The reason being is that developers are not interested in developing apps for Win 8. Any major apps takes too long to release in Win Phone 8. Just like Pandora which took almost 3 years to come in Windows OS.Also, Facebook app is developed by Microsoft and not by Facebook.

Blah Blah Blah. My guess is that you have probably never even used WP8, nevermind kept track of it's app growth. Hush now, and keep that poison mouth shut...

Blame the developers man. Don't blame the OS.
For Google services, They don't want to put any google services in WP. Being egoistic and also don't forget the war between the two OS.

Android taker what are you talking about! WP isn't even 3 years old! You are blowing lies out on the article. Also when were you assigned the official commented of developers?
