Hulu Plus app for iOS now offers support for Retina displays and AirPlay mirroring
Watching some of your favorite television shows on your iPad and iPhone is only getting better, now that the Hulu Plus app for iOS has been updated to better expand its functionality.

With version 2.5 of the Hulu Plus app for iOS, users are treated with an extended amount of new features such as support for the iPad’s shiny new Retina display. So yeah, videos are going to look a tad bit sharper than before – though, it won’t actually increase the video stream resolution. Nevertheless, the iPad’s interface has also been redesigned to provide a complete visual treat for those who religiously use the app.

In addition, the new update throws in improved support for AirPlay mirroring. Previously, videos would be displayed on a high-definition television with a 4:3 aspect ratio – with the usual black bars on the sides of your TV. However, with this new version, the streaming option will now output stuff in a 16:9 aspect ratio to your Apple TV. Technically, it’s not a full-screen experience still, but nonetheless, it’s spaced out more to provide better visualization.

Of course, there are also a few bug fixes included with the update to round things out. Therefore, if you’re a Hulu Plus subscriber, you’ll surely appreciate all the new stuff available with this update.
