Huawei UMG 1691 to be brought on as T-Mobile's second USB stick
It only makes sense for T-Mobile to start cranking out some serious USB modems once it managed to get its 3G network up and running for some time. With its coverage always expanding to untouched areas across the country, they are close to launching their second USB stick – the webConnect Jet. This latest device is from Huawei which supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA 1700/2100 – something akin to T-Mobile USA. So while they tread on getting their coverage on par to the level of their competitors, they'll be offering consumers some choice as to what device to get for high speed wireless connectivity. Until a release date and pricing are confirmed, we're just resulted to play the waiting game for now.
