Awesome! But wait for Asus "twice the details, twice the fun"-tablet.

Not only Asus. Samsung, Apple, ZTE and HTC will introduce some their tablet with high specs to the market. But no body going to dominate the market. It seems Apple is going to lose some more tablet market share.

You forgot Windows 8!
With all this, Apple has to lose some %age, but they may still end being the top.

Apple is expected to beat this display with 2048x1536 on iPad3.
Apparently, many are bringing 1920x1200 tablets to market.
The best execution is still probably the "yet-to-be-released" Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF700T.
If rumors hold true, Samsung will hit 2560x1600 and emerge the king of the display resolution hill.
I would love to see Apple come up with a 2560x1920 or 3840x2880 or 4096x3072 soon.
They might be able to accomplish that if they converge product lines together consolidating iPod, iPad and Macbook Air.

I dont know about all of that Apple stuff you jist said, but i sure hope that Samsung comes out with a 2560x1600. Thats would be something that i would definitely want to get a hold of. Especially if tjere was a Windows8 version. I would most likely get both a Windows version as well as an Android version.

Agreed.
I wouldn't spend the money for two of these but having dual-boot or VM capabilities to go between Windows8 & Android would be terrific. Especially if they put a fast enough processor, enough RAM and SSD Flash onboard, and a big battery.
For now, I'm betting on the TF700T. Let's not count Sony out, though.

I am just aching for a WIn 8 tablet because I know the resolutions will be stellar and probably based on some 28nm goodness. As far a android goes, I am sure Samsung will beat Apple in the resolution and with ICS, I think the iPad will get some serious competition this year.
Competition overall will be awesome as everyone is bringing some great focus. And as always competition is great for us.

why would you need a tablet that is anything more than full hd?
