Huawei IDEOS X6 is greeted over at the FCC bearing support for the AWS band

More than a month ago, the first news about the Huawei IDEOS X6 indicated a high-end Android powered smartphone that was going to be launching in Australia some time soon.
However, the handset just recently paid a visit to the FCC where we find additional information regarding its specs and potential carrier release. The documents show that the Huawei IDEOS X6 features support for the quad-band GSM/EDGE & AWS bands, 5-megapixel camera with flash, HDMI out port, microSD card slot, a large touchscreen, and Wi-Fi.
Naturally, it can potentially be launched through T-Mobile since it has support for the AWS band, but it's yet to be officially confirmed by either T-Mobile or Huawei. Still, it should prove to be a more respectable offering over Huawei's existing handset, the T-Mobile Comet, which unfortunately doesn't resonate with the best specs or performance.

It kinda looks like an Acer Liquid metal mixed with a keyboard-less Motorola Droid 2. It looks extremely nice and smooth though.

I think it will be a very nice phone, T-Mobile has a winner here.

huawei makes the Tap and the Comet. More than likely this is going to be a mid priced phone. With dual core around the corner, it would suprize me if it was truely "high end", but who knows. It has decent features at least.
the comet has its purpose. android for 170, full retail. How do u diss that?
