Huawei Enjoy 6 official: sub-$200 smartphone with 4100 mAh battery and 3 GB RAM
Huawei will almost certainly take the wraps off the highly anticipated Mate 9 at a special event next week on Thursday, November 3rd. As the company continues to drop teasers ahead of the 5.9-inch phablet's launch, it has just revealed another new handset. Having checked through China's TENAA authority a couple of weeks back, the Huawei Enjoy 6 is now official.

The marquee feature is unquestionably the 4100 mAh battery. It's larger than usual, and given the Enjoy 6's fairly mid-range specs, it should keep the lights on for significant periods between charge.

There's a 5-inch AMOLED display touting a modest 720 x 1280 resolution, while the SoC is 1.4 GHz, octa-core MediaTek MT6750. There's also 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable (up to an extra 128 GB) storage and dual SIM support. Point-and-shoot enthusiasts get a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash along with a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies.

Physical connectivity is taken care of by microUSB, and there's 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth and GPS/A-GPS on board as well. As you can see in the image above, there's a choice of five different colors (gray, white, pink, gold, blue) and beneath the rear camera, there's a fingerprint scanner. Software-wise, the Enjoy 6 ships with Huawei's Emotion (EMUI 4.1) overlay atop Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Price-wise, the metallic Huawei Enjoy 6 is 1299 Yuan ($192), and drops on November 1st. There's no word on a launch outside of China, and if the preceding Huawei Enjoy 5 is anything to go by, it's unlikely to branch out too far beyond the People's Republic.
