Huawei Ascend W1 gets its bootloader unlocked, seen running custom ROM

So, it turns out that the Huawei Ascend W1, running Windows Phone 8, is not only cheap, but also quite hackable – a trait not typical for Microsoft's mobile operating system. Apparently, a developer with the right skills managed to unlock its bootloader and load a custom ROM onto the device, thus adding software features not present by default...

Wonder what people will called a hacked WP device. Jailbroken is IOS's term, while root is androids. Hmm.... Maybe Windex'd? :P

I can almost guarantee Jailbreaking/rooting windows phone as it is essentially the same thing will either be refeered to as introp unlocking as it was with windows phone 7 and 7.5 or if they stick to current terms as it is a form of installing a hack to the phone they will call it hacktivating as with the desktop and tablet versions of the operating system.
