i really think big phones are a joke!!!
and i still think they are!!
3.5 to 4.5 is ok for me!!
the 4.8 s3 is still acceptable!!
but heck, 5.5 and this 6.1?! rediculous!!!

Note II has the same dimensions as the previous gen but with a bigger screen. You say they're ridiculous* but when you actually use it for a day, going to a 3.5 screen will make you realize what you're missing.

the very reason why i dont really like android... to many screen size!!
and besides i'll do all my movie and video on a laptop/tablet!!
coz viewing those videos on a 5" phone is not pleasing!

That's your opinion, others will agree with you but others will sure disagree. In my case, it's the latter and I prefer viewing movies on a phone like this for that reason, the real screen estate rather than carry a clunky laptop. Let's just agree to disagree.

i hate the on screen navigation on this huawei mate!
but watching movies and viewing pictures is better on a loptop or on a tablet! you can see better in a bigger screen..
why settle for something that is on the center(phone and tablet)?
and this is a comment section so all comments here are opinion!

u dont like android coz too much screen size to choose ..lmao..

You said 3.5", 3.7", 4.0", 4.3" and 4.5" screens are okay for you, but you contradict yourself because that's five different screen sizes.
There's a screen size for everyone, and that's the beauty Android brings.

You are complainining that there is a screen size for just about everyone? Yes Android should have just ONE phone, one size and that will make everyone happy....not. If I wanted to be locked down and have no options, I'd use an iPhone again.

i said the top and bottom bezel on most phone today is .6 -.8 inches if all manufacture start to shrink that....... 5 inches will feel like 3.5. Can they do that? sure can, they just wait apple to be the first take on the challenge then they will say i should have done that.

Not really that ridiculous, its about technology convergence. A full featured all-in-one mini tablet-phone

http://www.concept-phones.com/samsung/samsung-galaxy-note-3-interesting-4-multitasking-system/...The Galaxy Note 2 is the BIG BOY in the house why??? ? they built the house they are the creators of this category. They rule the United States tech game the Huawei Ascend Mate doesn't and pretty much won't. Huawei is VERY WEAK IN ANDROID LAND they always will be. The Galaxy Note 2 pimp slaps this silly device all day long WHY?? ? features and software, better camera back and front, better screen and ppi, removable battery and 64gb of storage ability with that sd card. Plus multi Window features, pop up play, pop up browser, and on and on. Huawei not in the same league my friends....The Galaxy Note 3 will piss all over this feeble wanna be note 2......

1280x720 on 6.1" = 241ppi.
1920x1080 on 6.1" = 361ppi.
If they really wanted it to be a Note II killer, they would have put a 1080p screen on the phone. Nonetheless, I'm curious to see how long the 4,050mAh battery can actually last on daily usage.

I hope pa will do a review of this phone. The ascend mate would have been a bit better if they included a full hd screen, then that would be a very pleasing experience all in a 6.1" phone/tablet

I don't understand what is the point of having a phone that large, five inches is enough , it is impractical to carry five plus inch phone in your pocket. 720 p makes this phone mid range device in 1080 p world. Huawei missed the train on this one.

6.1" will be much better but come on all those manufacture, look at the phone can you guy get rid/ shink the top and bottom bezel it is huge plus can you come up a better idea to get ride the navigation bar too and come up buttom wipe. there are so much space that we don't need...
And last, how about quicker time charge battery please. How about 1 hour charge full 4100amh.

Purely a specs game. But other OEM's are still losing in this aspect. The chinese can cram everything into one cheap phone
15. Mobilephile posted on 08 Jan 2013, 00:04 0 0
..and they will cram everything into high end phones as well, since they manufacture most of the world's CE devices

Don't worry little buddy... Samsung is coming out this year with a 6.3" Note 3.!. And besides, this Huawei Ascend Mate can't do 1/4th of what your Note II can do... S-Pen not included!!!
