The phone has a metal frame inside and curved chassis, making it more ergonomic to hold, and Huawei went as far as claiming that the quality of manufacturing rivals the iPhone maker, and the phone is packaged tight enough to be water- and dust-resistant also. The icing on the cake is that the Ascend D2 sports stereo recording, which you don't encounter all that often, but where will it be seen outside of Chine in the spring is yet unknown...

Good device overall with killer specs, but we need to see benchmark for the huawei's homebrewn quadcore chip in this device, because last year also they claimed their quadcore chip to be fastest, but in benchmarks that chip was not behind Exynos, and snapdragon chips........ One thing is missing on this phone and that is external memory slot, but otherwise this phone is great, I think to make this phone waterproof they had to make one omission, and it came in form of no external memory slot........
