After my 3yr old Galaxy Nexus got 1080p video, Google thought it was just a gimmick and scaled them all back.

as long as the camera is at least 3mp it means its full HD i.e. 1080p its actually 2 mp but you know. the quality might be horrendous though id use no less than 8mp, 5 if you know how to set up a camera properly and 3 if your like a camera god lol

My Nexus 5 had that option in camera app before Android 4.4.4 :|
the new Google Camera app doesn't have it :|
