There's a wise, age-old Chinese proverb. It says, "Home is where the Wi-Fi is." Okay, we totally made this up, but we hope you'll agree that even the cheapest coffee shop feels much cozier when there's free Wi-Fi available for its customers. Finding a place with free Wi-Fi, however, can sometimes feel like you're on a scavenger hunt. That's why apps for finding free Wi-Fi exist, and here's a few of them that get the job done...

As well, some folks hijack free WiFi an then control your information when you use free services.
Free WiFi is like running down crack head alley without shoes on, you are going to get pricked.

I wish there were an app that would tell really free, wide-open WiFi networks from those that require you to agree to some perfunctory legalese first. Nothing says to me more about a business not really welcoming me than such agreements.
