How to disable the iOS 7 parallax effect

0. phoneArena 27 Sep 2013, 06:42 posted on

Are you experiencing vertigo, headaches or nausea while using the recently-launched iOS 7? Surely, most users won't have a problem with Jony Ive's latest brainchild, but reports are already coming in that the new parallax effect in the homescreen (making the background move as if it's far behind the icons) is making some people experience a similar feeling to having car-sickness...

Not Apple f*cking it up, but more like how this came to be. It's so weird.

Of course...iOS users need an article to figure out "settings". Did you need to print it out or could you remember this apparently complicated instructions?

ios7 users get vertigo from attempting to adjust the settings! Lol

I wouldn't call it a screw up. It's a feature that bothers some people. It's good that it can be turned off. No big deal.

Why is it hilarious?

There are some people that can't play (arcade-type) games due to the blinking lights. Nintendo and Sony placed a warning about this health concern in their handheld devices, respectively.

Apple customers aren't used to these new features and they should introduce these change more slowly.

$210-$218 for a 64gb to be made and they charge $200 more than a 16gb? That is blatant robbery. At least LG had half the decency to only charge $50 more for the 64GB version of the G2 which is fair but still a small ripoff, nowhere close to this.

Yup, you are right. But there are people enough people out there to be robbed. That's why any phone with SD card slot is awesome :D

They do hike up the prices but what company wouldn't if they could? You think lg are just angels or maybe they are still trying to grab market share to become relevant?

Would buying a phone that is forgotten about in 2 months count as robbery as well?

Even the GS4 has only a $50 difference between memory variants, so your lower prices to stay relevant theory doesn't hold much ground.

I see your point there. But trust me, Samsung would gladly trade places with Apple in respect to the phone industry.

Yes, I'm sure any company would like to have a huge, almost cult-like following like Apple has to where they only have to release one product per category a year to be majorly successful.

LG has been around for quite sometime with great phones. The lg g2 won't be forgotten in a couple of months. Duh

Good for them to have $440 billions in cash while the rest of the U.S. is still in recession.

I went right back to ios 6 after trying 7. To me the animations really were distracting and inserted lag into the OS. Some icon colors were garish and there was just too much inconsistency all around.

Maybe the record number of upgrades should take into account the number of downgrades! I imagine there were many.

I will not buy another IOS device until they bring out ios 8 and rectify this mess. And if they don't well bye bye ios.

I'm patiently waiting for the "How to charge your iPhone 5S/C" article.

I get that some people are incrediby tech-retarded, and it's ironic as iOS boasts its "most intuitive and easy to use" interface, but come on; there is far better material waiting to get discovered.

PA will pop up in the results when you Google this issue, so I guess it's a win for them.
