How to add your place of business or points of interest to Google Maps
Whether you're a business owner or just one of them helpful types, adding your place of business (or any other points of interest) to Google Maps will help potential customers discover your existence. The best part? Since you're basically improving Google Maps' database, there's absolutely no charge, so it's free exposure! And guess what: it's super easy to do.

While you can do it on your computer, nowadays it's exceedingly easy (if not easier) to do the deed on your smartphone. All you need is the Google Maps app (which is likely already on your phone) for Android and essential information about the business, including its exact location. The entire process should take you about a minute or two, and then a while for somebody on the Google Maps team to review your entry and approve it (this makes sense, seeing as we'll be adding a fake POI to illustrate the procedure).
