How often do you use the stylus in your Samsung Galaxy Note/Note II?

0. phoneArena 13 Dec 2012, 06:12 posted on

Now that the Note II has been out for a while, and with the Note customers having more than a year of feedback, we wanted to ask the Note/Note II owners whether the stylus is indeed an indispensable everyday tool, something that proves handy now and then, or is it mostly gathering dust in the silo. Checkmark your usage in the poll inside, and share in the comments your personal experiences with the second life of the stylus...

for you kind information, i don't use the lumia.....all i have is the note(1) and the ipad3...i never use the stylus
who wants to carry a pen everywhere?
i didn't say that the lumia's screen is the best...i said that its the right way to go....its a better idea to improve the screen instead of working on making a pen for the old screen

I use it all the time.

Also there's many people here voting even though they don't even have a Note 2 so in the end, the result of this poll won't mean anything.

I agree. I use the stylus all the time, if just to see the tool-tips for most of my apps. But, I use it for notes, doodling, and when I don't want to touch the screen with sticky fingers.

As for the poll, at least it brought up the topic. Yet, I wonder how many DNA owners are clicking the last option.

This survey is not accurate when combined both galaxy note and galaxy note 2 owners and this is why.

While I used to own a galaxy note 1, I would answer to this as
I whip it out every now and then

Now I own galaxy note 2 and my answer is
I use it all the time for quick notes, sketches, editing, etc.

So combining both note1 and note 2 owners in one survey will have a big margin error depending on who is the real user the note 1 or note 2.

Unreliable survey.

Not to mention that there's a lot of trolls who don't even own a GNOTE voting.

I use it a lot, Swype with a stylus, is just a whole new way of typing. I use it about 80% of the time, the rest I use offline voice dictation. I've never typed on my keyboard since.

For those of you who are voting and have never used the note/note 2 Shut up! I have the note 2 and use the s-pen pretty much every day. It is awesome.

Exactly. Why do trolls comment on something they don't use/own? I mean you morons make yourself look like idiots that have nothing better to do.

I actually have AT&Ts version of the Note 2. I use my S-Pen all the time, Its easy to use with Swype while typing a text.., Angry Birds, Sketchbook Mobile, etc.

I don't own the iphoney or DNA and I'm not commenting on those. So STFU

Then why in the phuck are you commenting on the device if you don't own it? Doesn't that make you look like the phandroid? If you don't own a particular device then why comment about it?

I have the ATT version. Its pretty fn sweet. Iphoney users put their little kids toy away when the Note 2 is around.

The S-Pen is pretty fun to use. I use it with Sketchbook Mobile, Angry Birds, Notes, etc. I use it to compose emails, etc. The Ink Effect when unlocking with your S-Pen is a nifty little feature.

I use Chrome only on my device, its blazing fast even at 4g lte speeds. I had the Infuse 4g before and never got 4g ever. So this is amazing.

Just wondering WHY the US carriers disabled Multi-View on their devices. Seems likes its a Samsung thing and should have been included OTB. But on ATT ill see it by the time the Note 3 comes out.

I appreciate the want to use in front of ifans, but really unless you own one or have used one, please, comment on something you know something about.

I like S-pen on my galaxy note 10.1. I use it to write lectures, sometimes to surf internet, to select some areas of text or screen parts.

Stylus does come in handy on occasion, but honestly I rarely pull it out doing the usual routines with my phone (Making calls, web surfing, twitting, etc.)

I was saying hey to this sexy lady while holding my Note 2 and said she liked my gangnum stylus. Woop... woop... woop. Yup that just happened.

I love the stylus. The greatest thing about it is that i can use the phone outside in the freezing cold and still wear gloves and navigate the phone. Swype texting with the stylus is super fast and accurate. Love my galaxy note 2. Only problem is that sometimes the phone does not detect that the pen is missing when i walk away with the phone. This should be fixed.

I have recently purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 3 & I love the phone & I've used the Stylus twice just to checkout the air command applications on my phone. As of now I probably won't use it. But have to say if I was a big user of it & had it out & was fixing to leave & leave my stylus behind I like the fact the phone recognizes your leaving it behind & it sets alarm off to let you know your leaving it behind. Wish I could somehow put this on my car keys since I some morning spend anywhere from 3-5 min. Looking for my keys. So far only thing I found I can do with the stylus is to draw on pictures that can be fun to play with.
