I'm sorry but I don't see the logic of that arguement. People pick bigger screens for so many different reasons. Android naturally gravitates towards bigger screens not just for the heck of it, but because a bigger screen yields improvement in so many different areas, whether it be web browsing, gaming, widgets etc.
But you also have to realize, some people just want's bigger screens. The beauty of the Android OS lies in it's diversity, whether it be the UIs, or the devices themselves. Take the Galaxy Note for example. For many people, that phone served as a great median between a tablet and a phone, eliminating the need of having to pick between the two.
As far as ergonomics, I'd say that is one of the areas that Android has exhibited great improvement in. For example, I have a GS3, a 4.8 inch phone, the largest screen size for a high end non-phablet flagship device(That's a mouthful..). And despite the fact that I have about medium sized hands, I can hold the phone and operate it with one hand easily, and so can my 5'3 mother, for that matter.

They will probably go with between 4.0in and 4.3in because their precious "retina" display starts to look pixelated when it's stretched out too far i.e. the "NEW" iPad.

50" with a couple of umpa lumpas to carry it around.
Anything less than that is so 2010.

4.3 I think will be good. Its big enough, yet small enough too. And it would allow them to have a very high DPI to keep the retina display moniker if they went 720P.
Or maybe they should surprise us, and not just have 1 model. Maybe the usual 3.5 incher, and a premium one, maybe 4.5 or something, with higher res, better performance, etc. you know,

It's a shame Apple won't offer customers a choice. If I was considering one I would appreciate a choice maybe between a 3.7 inch model and say a 4.3 inch model. They'll make it whatever size they make it and the customer will buy it. Apple won't give customers a choice because Apple knows it's customers don't really care. The customer will buy in because it's from Apple and its new and that's all that matters.

I actually think that 4.0 inches is actually a good medium. It's big enough for most, but at the same time, not TOO big that you have to use two hands in order to operate it. Phones like the SGS3 and EVO 4G LTE are TOO big for me, IMO.

One thing we all know. the iPhone will NEVER have a 4.8" size screen. cause bigger is always better

The new iPhone with 4.0 inch screen seems reasonable. 4 inch may be able for one hand usage too. beyond 4 inch is way to big for one hand usage as thats one of the main things about the iPhone. 3.7 inch is too small, and its just only 0.2 inch difference with its old iPhone 4. So i say 4.0 is the most reasonable and most likely to be the screen for the new iPhone.
