Honor 9 announcement date set for June 27, press invite teases dual-camera setup for low-light photography

The Honor 9 will be announced on June 27th, if the latest leak for the device is anything to go by. Today, reliable tipster Roland Quandt uploaded an image which could very well be the official press invite for an Honor event scheduled to take place on the above date in Berlin.

Meanwhile, the company has chosen an interesting nickname for the handset which is supposedly set to break cover. Considering that Honor dubs the phone "The light catcher" and the picture of the invite itself, we suspect that we might see a dual-camera setup that will perform very well in low-light conditions. 

Apart from that, there isn't that much official information about the Honor 9. Some rumors have suggested that the dual-camera setup at the back will consist of one 20MP monochrome sensor and one regular 12MP shooter. This is the exact same setup on the Huawei P10, and considering that Huawei is the parent company of Honor, we wouldn't be too surprised if this turns out to be true. 

Other alleged specs include the Kirin 960 chipset paired up with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The device will most likely ship with the Android 7-based EMUI 5 out of the box.
