Honor 8 smartphone to be available for $50 off on October 10 in the U.S.

In celebration of Columbus' day, smartphone brand Honor has announced a one-day $50 discount for its flagship Honor 8 handset on October 10 via Best Buy, Amazon, and Newegg. This brings the price down to $350 for the 32GB model and $400 for the 64GB model. The offer is available exclusively for online orders.

Featuring a sleek double-sided glass design with a light-reflecting aurora effect, the Honor 8 boasts a 12MP dual lens camera with one RGB and one monochrome sensor for better-lit photos, along with a hybrid auto-focus system thatcombines laser, contrast, and depth focus for greater speed and accuracy.

The smartphone is powered by a Kirin 950 chipset with an octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, along with a 3000mAh battery with proprietary power saving technologies and a fast charging tech that takes 30 minutes to bring the battery to 50%. The operating system is EMUI 4.1 running on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
