Here's the ad Samsung is running against the iPhone 5 launch nationwide

0. phoneArena 15 Sep 2012, 16:40 posted on

The ad shows the Apple iPhone 5, turned off, and with the main features listed underneath, and then the Samsung Galaxy S III in all its glory against it, with a list of its own features listed below. As you can easily guess, the Galaxy S III list is much longer for a purpose, and there is a big fat title at the top saying "It doesn't take a genius"...

The screen turned off is probably to show that it looks just like the Iphone 4 and 4S. Can you really tell if Iphone 5 is not written on the ad?

I would have put a picture of millions of sheep and then a guy with a SIII and the title ... it is good to be different, especially when different is better! Samsung

True, they look the same from the front TBH. Also, don't like the fact that there isn't NFC on the iPhone 5. It would have been a great feature.

I know plastic is good for drops and all, I just have never liked it.

plastic is only good for light weight. it's not easy to get damage when light thing drop down. however plastic does not look premium as others material and that is my main concern when choosing a high-end phone.

Very nice, but what Samsung is missing, is that they are challenging country not apple only.
It will not be far from apple to sue them for that. And we all know who will be the Winer.

Galaxy S III isn't the next big thing. It never was and if you think with an ad like this people are gonna think otherwise, you're so wrong. iPhone is the phenomena of 21th century.

When I'm sitting at home banking on my iPhone, recording a vid to post to YouTube, Facebook, twitter, or to text to someone. When I'm sending an email, text tweet or iMessage. When I'm taking pics, setting calander events or reminded by voice or using a turn by turn nav app. When I'm making dinner reservations, show reservations, or a rental car. When I'm viewing Espn vids, making a note or syncing my files, when I'm listening to music, downloading music, or surfing the web. When I'm using cut copy paste, emoticons, saving or sending an image from the web. When I'm using apps, playing games, making a call by voice or using voice for various functions. When I'm using my iPhone for the 100's of things it does do u think I or any iPhone user is worried about quad core, ram, or other specs? No it's the overall user experience that I'm worried about. Enjoy your top notch iPhones, and top notch android devices people these devices r all outstanding and shouldn't cause the disrespect they r involved in. My best friend swears by Htc android devices I love him to death, and we never bicker about phones. We do bicker about Yankees/sox though lol. U guys have fun and I expect tons of thumb downs on this post. Y'all enjoy your day I hope my steelers beat the jets

I'm pro apple pro android pro tech. my point is enjoy your device dude that's it. A simple point. People don't care about what's outdated or lower spec'd dude. People need to bank, text, call there kids, call work, or just b in touch with the world. People want to root, have widgets, customize, and argue on PA. People jus need a phone that works for them their kids and their needs bro. I used to b a big mouth bashing android n defense of apple, and apple in defense of android but I see that that's pointless man. This Friday millions will line up to get the ip5. When the note2 drops millions will get it too. And we'll all use them while we work play an pay our taxes. C'mon man really? iPhone outdated android glitchy iPhone screen to small android to laggy. Who cares bro really who cares? iPhone sells like hot cakes, android sells like hotcakes. Android crashes iPhone crashes. Android battery dies iPhone battery dies. Android big time os iPhone big time os. When people buy their phone dude the jus want what they like. Who cares?

well you cant talk for everyone , some actually care what there phone has inside and what specs. and also when spending that kind of money some people want the best they can get.

i just find it funny how your know trying to come across the vioce of reason when earlier you were defending apple so your point sort of falls flat there....

but if your suddenly become pro tech fine this site needs more people who like tech. see how long it lasts

Also as the voice of reason I'll defend android too dude. Android f'n rocks to b quite honest, it's come a tremendously long way and is just as good as iOS in my book. I primarily use iOS cuz I'm so deeply vested in it and see no need to change it as my go to os.

does it matter what phone i use? but if you must know i have the nokia 808

i love symbian but main reason is nokia are excellent when it comes to build quality and there mobile phones camera's are the best around without question and i like having an exceptional camera with me at all times.easier then carrying both a phone and camera

nokia build quality is top notch. I tried the e71 for a short time and liked it but wanted a touch screen so I returned it in 08 I think. Can't go wrong with Nokia didn't meant to pry either my bad.

nope no prob just this site makes you always think a fanboy will appear and another pointless argument will follow

i had a mate who threw his 6230 up a wall...thing survived amazingly . nokia have always been experts at build quality.

just look at the 3310 , that will survive a sledgehammer

Also bro the camera is one of the main reasons I like the iPhone. In my line of work I'm out and about in las Vegas all the time cuz I instruct students in driving buses. I love the fact that I can shoot vids and send them with out having to limit for mms first. The iPhones point shoot and send ability is really cool. I'm talking about sending as a text also. On most phones u have to go into the camera select li
It for mms and then record a short clip to send. Also I like that I can edit video and send exactly what I want some one to see. I think that's cool.

yeah well it depends on the size of video and quality. but been able to send off of one device is an advantage.

never sent videos round so dunno about settings etc or what devices have better and easier sending capability.

is mms easier then email now? or you use both
