There is a couple of flaws in your post.
#1 you assume sharp can pull off lets say a 400 ppi and apple only asks for a 150ppi display. How do you know it wasn't the other way around apple asks for a 400 ppi display and sharp can only do 150. Thats not apple's fault its sharp so if you are going to give sharp 100 percent credit for its good compenets in apple products well then you have to give them credit for the bad ones aswell.
#2 the iphone 4 has gorrila glass confirmed by apple in the jobs report. I drop mine all the time not a scratch.
#3 attengate was solved by new attena not by software update. Not to mention it was never much of anything to begin with.
