Here's a more realistic version of Apple's Siri ad with Scorsese

Apple recently scored Martin Scorsese to its list of celebrities doing ads for the iPhone, and in a nutshell it painted a pretty rosy picture of Siri helping the famous director…

Haha definitely more accurate. The commercials make it seem like you can just talk to it like a person... nope.

Yeaah.. at work and one of my patients didn't show up for her appointment... her daughter wanted to call the local senior center to see if she's there:
Daughter:"Find me the number for the Norwalk Senior Center"
Siri: "I do not know where you are and cannot complete that request." (something to that degree)
Daughter: "Why does she need to know where I am?"
Me: "Google: Call Norwalk Senior Center" *hands my phone over*
I don't think I have ever seen someone successfully use Siri... lmao

Hahaha I've done this so my times as well. It feels so good doing it to my father in law because that man is the biggest isheep I have ever met. We were going to the grand canyon and he was driving and I can tell he kept looking at his phone and I realized he was looking at the maps. So I said," hey Tim I GOT THIS! Navigate to the grand canyon.Tim just follow her lovely voice shell get you there." He then proceeds to put his iPhone away in his pocket.

The best part is that Samsung/Android finally have enough brand recognition.
Two years ago if I had done that with my Droid1/X I would've heard "What phone is that?"
Instead, both the daughter and her husband said "Is that the Galaxy?"
Yes, they are clearly uninformed to a degree because there are several Galaxy phones but the fact that they even knew what model line it was from made me smile.
People are finally learning!

there have been several times when strangers have come up to me and asked if I was holding the GS3. When I say yes I could tell I've earned their respect.

Yea you're right Siri has a zero success rate. That's why the iPhone has such low customer satisfaction ratings and sells so poorly.
Wait a minute, people love their iPhones and it sells like crazy. Hmm I wonder why? If I listen to fandroid posts it does nothing right.

Where did I say Siri has a zero success rate?
Where did I refer to low customer satisfaction ratings?
Where did I refer to iOS sales numbers?
Oh yeah, I didn't.
Do everyone a favor and shut the f**k up before you post.

It looks like taco50 is having a rough day. lol
I didn't see where you said those things either. I think he is so far gone in to the i$heep realm that when he reads certain posts it looks like this to him:
ld_hsf d-fsoi 099(((04er85 jwe=+fono wf#jpmp[ pjg.
To him that was what he claims you said. lol

It's a tactic Taco uses frequently. He'll exaggerate what you said to try and make you look radical. That, and pretending he knows something he has zero knowledge of.

actually most people have been getting pretty pissed at apple buddy. They come into my store all the time and say why doesnt my siri work like the comercials i can ask the same questions they do and get no response. They ask me if they can sue apple how apple sue everyone else. I even had one customer say he pushed the siri button the same time scorsese did and there is no way that comercials is accurate and we should take it off the air.

You ask Google's Voice command it works flawlessly. Have you tried Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. taco50 you will sh*t you pants.
It's everything you WISH Siri did. I mean it works. No stallions here I promise. lol
31. iamcc (Posts: 1319; Member since: 07 Oct 2011)
LOL I will never get over that stallion thing... oh man.

I just wanna know one thing:
Whats up with Siri and ....stallions?

Haha an apple ad that tells the Truth! Even the 'sequences shortened' Part is in larger font at the end. Most of the ads applea uses if cast with the light of truth would resemble this. The power of advertising

11. nnaatthhaannx2 (Posts: 820; Member since: 19 Oct 2011)
With S Voice one question would be the whole video. That thing is SOOO slow!
5. Aeires (unregistered)
Hilarious, except the part with the guy in short shorts, didn't need to see that. O_0
Bring on the S. Jackson one next, please.

the stallion add in was priceless. That was the best siri/google competition. :)

I guess if you don’t have an iPhone..... you don’t have an iPhone. LMFAO.... This has to be the best Siri commercial ever!

That was funny, minus that guy in "jorts" what the hell are those? S Voice is garbage too, tried it and it's slow as molasses. Now G Voice search that thing is relatively fast and understands you a bit better than most. Want to see a video with some of those assistant apps in the play store, my favorite is Assistant, a bit funny and smarmy but pretty good and faster than some others I have tried.

I use Siri fairly often. Its very good for appointments, alarms and reminders. It's actually faster than typing. I also use it in the car a lot when driving. Texting with it is accurate until I use a Bluetooth. Over my Bluetooth sometimes I have a hard time. Also sometimes it will have a hard time recognizing uncommon names.

I know, thats why I wrote that. :D

Cut some slack, that comment was not trolling in any manner. Just because a lot of previous comments were off doesn't mean everything should be slammed.

iamcc bro that was wrong. He was only stating on
his use of siri. Nothing he was Trolling.
27. iami67 (Posts: 318; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
Thats the point Taco unless you are using siri for very simple things then siri is useless. You can not do what the comercials claim. And what your describing I have been able to do on blackberries for over 10 yrs. So why is siri so great. Ever hear of vlingo siri was a complete rip off of it but its ok apple did it.
35. gallitoking (Posts: 4700; Member since: 17 May 2011)
so i will sue burger King for not giving me the whopper like in the commercial... wait.. is called marketing...
39. taco50 (banned) (Posts: 5506; Member since: 08 Oct 2009)
Siri is light years ahead of Vlingo and Siri works great for certain things. It's not perfect, but way better than anything else out.

Why the thumbs down and red.... He wasn't

I have not had that kind of problems with Siri. Google works about same for me. I am deleting this site out of my phone it is a joke the way this site is now. Use to be a very good place to get info but now people dog stuff for no reason just to make them selves feel better about their choice. Only thing I will say is this buy what ever junk you want. Let others choose their junk with out doting them. Be human for God's sake.
