Nokis is king in camera.. no doubts there but ITS RUNNING ON WINDOWS PHONE :( :(
36. Muran (Posts: 3; Member since: 05 Apr 2013)
1. That's Nokia's place. Look at the posters.
2. That guy didn't show the video stabilization setting on both phones.
3. That video is for WP7 fan site.
SO => S4 VIDEO SATBILIZATION IS DIABLED.
Nokia can't find a way to sell their lumias that's why they take that kind of fake videos.

What has Windows Phone 8 "limited features" to do with this test, any logics?
42. Trumpet (banned) (Posts: 3; Member since: 05 Apr 2013)
Yes in the latest Phone arena blind test, Samsung and Iphone WON !!!!
91. omar300 (Posts: 209; Member since: 24 Jun 2012)
lol no hate againist samsung but theres only one winner and in that, iphone sadly won and samsung came second. and then rest companies were far off.
so samsung is good but iphone is better with camera. someone needs to steal their crown.

Its sad, the Xperia Z is basically using a next gen version of the iphone camera but Sony did a bad job on the software side of the camera.

"2. That guy didn't show the video stabilization setting on both phones."
I don't think that in this test Nokia Lumia 920 win because test was made by biased persons. It is ain't secret that Nokia Lumia 920 has Optical Image Stabilization while Samsung Galaxy S 4 doesn't.
93. omar300 (Posts: 209; Member since: 24 Jun 2012)
dude nokia lied before with their advertisment, i dont believe nokia. and their camera sucks, its super saturated and i use windows phone i know there are no settings for stabilization so nokia camera stabilization is good BUT THEY NEVER SHOWED SAMSUNG OPTION TURN ON. THIS VIDEO MEANS NOTHING!
106. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 5498; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
It doesn't matter even if stabilization on Samsung Galaxy S 4 was turned off because Nokia Lumia 920 has Optical Image Stabilization and any software based image stabilization on Samsung Galaxy S 4 or any other phone won't beat Optical Image Stabilization.
84. CellieCell (Posts: 107; Member since: 14 Apr 2010)
this video reminds me of the one where they supposedly hit the Nokia Lumia and galaxy 3 phone with baseballs but the ball never hit the Lumia there for the Lumia didn't get damaged, but the galaxy did.
you do have a point, while doing these kind of test at least show the viewers that they're both on the same settings to rule out unfairness and what's with the pig Latin, I couldn't understand what he was saying, at least have subtitles.
agreed with @phonearenauser

Another ignorant comparison made by Nokia troll, nice try but galaxy s4 is the want who sell like hot cakes :p
55. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
figured you out, your a troll that just follows whats hot , iphone was selling loads before and now its the s3/s4....you some up blind little puppet perfectly
wish you would be banned for good already
102. BillyG (Posts: 305; Member since: 24 Sep 2012)
and you follow a phone that only has superior camera... why don't just buy a SLR Camera? or tell your beloved nokia to stop producing smartphone and go produce some camera instead.
its funny seeing a troll yelling troll...
124. Archan_Pe (Posts: 74; Member since: 08 Apr 2012)
You're totally missing the point. The reason why people want a good camera in a smartphone is because they want to take good photos/videos anytime and anywhere. Cause I certainly don't want to be carrying a dedicated camera anywhere I go just because I might get a chance to take a "picture perfect moment" anytime.
142. BillyG (Posts: 305; Member since: 24 Sep 2012)
i think its you that missing a big point. people don't call it a smartphone for nothing... we want to be able to do as much stuffs possible on our smartphone. not only take photo/vid and making phone call. S4 got 13 mp and IS (software) , it HAS a good camera. just because its missing OIS doesn't mean its bad... and don't forget the support of lots of android apps. we can do almost everything on S4. and fyi, i'll be able to easily take a 'picture perfect moment' even with sound, enhance/edit it, directly on my S4.
145. Archan_Pe (Posts: 74; Member since: 08 Apr 2012)
LOL! You don't understand do you? It's that kind of reply that makes the world more complicated -_-. First, did I mention anything about the S4 being an awful camera just because it doesn't have OIS? Answer: NO. Second, I just commented when you said "and you follow a phone that only has superior camera... why don't just buy a SLR Camera?" I just wanted to tell you the point why people want a good camera in their smartphone. So let me iron out this one for you so you don't get confused again, okay? I did not say the S4 has a bad camera was just commenting in your statement of which I quoted earlier in the paragraph. So now tell me again who is missing the point?
153. BillyG (Posts: 305; Member since: 24 Sep 2012)
guess what , its still you. people do want good camera on their smartphone. but on your first reply, you show it as if its the only important thing on a smartphone. those good camera worth almost nothing without the apps to share and prob. edit it a little, and also software that support the camera, now do you get what i'm saying?
154. Archan_Pe (Posts: 74; Member since: 08 Apr 2012)
Goodness have you seen what you're posting? I never said that camera was the most important thing on a smartphone. It's just one of them... And yes I do get what your saying you're brewing up all this nonsense that I never actually said just because you got insulted that I corrected you.
156. BillyG (Posts: 305; Member since: 24 Sep 2012)
you really think too high of yourself, i'm not insulted, i only want you to see your mistake... my 1st comment that you've replied clearly stated that chaoticrazor "follow a phone that only has superior camera...." (there , i quote it...), and then you 'join in' by commenting me about good camera (as if no one knows about it...)... see the point now? or maybe your brain can't handle too much informations? or maybe you need your eyes checked?
157. Archan_Pe (Posts: 74; Member since: 08 Apr 2012)
Duh! you forgot the the words "why don't just buy a SLR Camera". The reason why it's so infuriating is because you mentioned the S4 then about apps that I didn't talk about. Dude my brain can't handle the information? How funny! or my eyes checked, uh bro I think you're the one who needs it checked for the reply you've been giving me. ;)
158. BillyG (Posts: 305; Member since: 24 Sep 2012)
lol... since your brain really can't handle it, i really have to explain it word by word for you...
if you can read and understand my 1st comment, i said that chaoticrazor "follow a phone that ONLY has superior camera... why don't just buy a SLR Camera? or tell your beloved nokia to stop producing smartphone and go produce some camera instead". notice my sarcasm calling 920 only as a phone not a smartphone, and i make the word 'only' in uppercase now so its easier for you to understand... thats why i tell him to tell nokia to produce a camera instead trying to produce a smartphone, and tell him to buy SLR (lots of SLR are cheaper than 920 and produce way better result, and then he can spend 10 bucks buying an old phone that can make phone calls and sending text) since he ONLY want a superior cam... i bring those apps because its a part of a SMARTPHONE, which suitable for people who wants 'everything' on their smartphone, not ONLY a superior cam.
unlike you, i write my comments carefully and put some thought into it instead only accusing somebody missing a point and in the end it is you the one that missing the point...

103. Pedro0x (Posts: 271; Member since: 19 Oct 2012)
Is king? the only strenght the lumia has is the OIS, which SGS4 doesn´t have and Samsung really pissed me off with that. But in photos SGS4 is a clear winner. Lumia produces good photos too but SGS4 produces better and even though it is only better by a small margin it is still better. And by the way HTC ONE has OIS, I am not sure with Xperia Z though. And you are totally right about that it is running WP, if you compare it to android 4.2 it is absolutely bull.... :)

Regardless of all falls.. Nokia is still the king in photography and maps. This is the fact. Atleast give credit to them.

33. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
i, myself, truthfully and vividly stating that i know from the time that samsung announced gs4, it doesnt have OIS..
and i know that nokia has d best mobile camera tech as what ive said in my other comments here in PA..i have Nokia Pureview 808..
im not complaining,
im asking.. i HAVE A QUESTION IN MIND that what is the reason why samsung cant provide OIS?
my head aches with fanboys like u..u always like battles, thats why battle is always drivng ur mind.. and if u r referring on how i defend the real results in the camera comparison before, nothing has changed,,
leave it, can anyone tell me the reason why samsung cant provide OIS?..
46. amats69 (Posts: 1242; Member since: 12 Nov 2012)

and yours'? haha
desperately contradicting the results :)
68. dexter_jdr (Posts: 1163; Member since: 28 Jun 2012)
say what? all smartphones have image stabilisation including S4. mostly using software for it.
but in nokia circumstances, it includes HARDWARE image stabilization.so it has great OIS.
and going back to your first comment. samsung doesnt put hardware ois but only software because maybe for slim factor? i dont know. ask samsung.
so another LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOOLOLOOLOOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOOLOOLOOLOLOOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLL for you :)
72. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
ahh okay, i think wer having a misunderstanding.. i dont know anything abt this stabilization in mobiles so dont get me wrong, thats why im asking with my comment #4..
my comment #48 doesnt have anything to do with this article, it is just abt amats69..
thank u for d answer even though i feel so insulted..

who the hell is disliking my comments???/
paid or not, just die.
34. NexusKoolaid (Posts: 385; Member since: 24 Oct 2011)
Look at their market share. Look at the $$$ they're raking in. OIS would be nice, but clearly they are doing just fine without it.
53. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 5498; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
"every flagship now has OIS, why sammy??"
You say that every flagship now has OIS, for example which flagshis has OIS???
As far as I know only Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One has OIS.
58. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
ah ok, thank u,, how abt iphone 5?
and what drives OIS? hardware or software,, is the new exmor sensor used by samsung and xperia Z cant have such?
65. Nathan_ingx (Posts: 3268; Member since: 07 Mar 2012)
Dude! How come you talk so much against the 920 but don't know much about the OIS?
It's hardware oriented...
It has springs, minature springs, within the sensor that minimizes movements and shakes.
75. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
no,, i didnt say anything against 920 specfcally with this OIS thing.. :( i even tried to read my comments, i ddnt say anything wrong abt 920..
my first comment here is my question abt OIS, and why samsung ddnt have it..,
90. dexter_jdr (Posts: 1163; Member since: 28 Jun 2012)
dude... what cave do you live in??? OIS is hardware. s4 has image stabilization, but only in software
920 has OIS,thus hardware. THIS IS THE POWER OF HARDWARE
133. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
thank u for d answer and d insult ah..
fyi i dont care abt technical tsu tsu of a mobile..,
i just want to know things better..
you voice like u know everything in ds world..
80. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 5498; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
"...how abt iphone 5?"
iPhone 5 doesn't have OIS.
"and what drives OIS? hardware or software"
