I actually think Samsung would debut the GS 4 earlier than expected, because Apple will change the debut of iPhone to twice a year.
42. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
What does this have to do with Samsung getting ahead when they are already ahead. Apple doesn't have a 1/4 of the features of the S III or newer phones out right now and in order for Apple to jump ahead, that's just not realistic in Manufacturing or business Terms.....

i know i would go to strip clubs first or after

Galaxy SIV??? they are hungry for money... a new phone every 3 months... the S2 is outdated already, and it is a great phone...
8. MistB (Posts: 581; Member since: 07 Jul 2012)
By your logic then, the S5 should have been released by now. Aside from the Note 2 which was released in August, have you since seen an S4 or S5 anouncement because according to your timetable the S5 should have been released by now. Im still waiting forthe S5, where is it?? Thats right, it hasnt even been announced yet and wont be for another 14 months at least.
Plus, the S2 and Note 1 are getting updated to JB 4.1.2, models from 2011 will still stay relevant so I really dont see the logic in your argument there. Plus 2013 is around the corner, that means that the S4 release is around the corner around May time, NOT the S6 according to your generalised logic. You are also aware that in order to stay relevant,a flagship needs an annual release and many offshoots to those that cant afford the flagship. This is why Samsung sells like hotcakes, because the software is consistent and updated.

APPLE IS ALWAYS HUNGRY FOR MONEY FULL PRICE with out contracts for phones

I think they will release it at CES. They'll bring on something that should blow the head off of any iPhone user as quickly as possible.

MWC or a month after it most likely
12. techspace (Posts: 1036; Member since: 03 Sep 2012)
apple products come with ios and that's a different platform with different users
if samsung makes good products, then its a bad news for the other android OEMs and microsoft, because it doesn't have any loyal customers right now
samsung is concentrating more on televisions this time.....maybe they are getting ready to compete with apple's own television.....
43. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
For one, Apple doesn't have a TV, they have a Box for the TV...Samsung isn't just starting to concentrate on Tv's, they are and have been the Largest TV manufactures for many years now...2006 or so........In Fact Samsung will have more success then Apple will ever in the TV world esp with the DirecTv Receiver being built into the Tv without having that extra box taking up space. This Tv will he able to receive all software updates and be up to date etc. Apple in These products don't seem useful or smart because Apple hates to be used with other brands etc and that means you will have to own Apple only devices etc.
Samsung and others work together.
Samsung's Allshare is already way ahead of this with Major companies have the AllShare ability like my TV, PC, A/C, Washer and Dryer and Fridge and Oven can communicate and talk to me if and when needed......
44. techspace (Posts: 1036; Member since: 03 Sep 2012)
apple is planning to make their own television...i am not talking about that box
and we don't know what apple will bring with their new television
apple could be working to make it have an inbuilt apple tv(the box that you were talking about), which will provide the tv shows, movies, music, airplay mirroring etc etc
they could also be working to make it a gaming platform and also bring many apps and games, specially optimized for their television
there are many other things that they could do(like asking siri from you phone to switch on the tv and play a particular movie on it) and they could also work with the others(or maybe they will dictate the other companies)
and this tv would become very popular, especially in USA, we know that americans love apple
samsung should try their best not to leave space for development to apple, which is very difficult, so, i think that they are working on improving their television sets this time
apple tv may require that you should use apple devices only, which is actually a plus point, because apple could make people to buy their own products and they can earn billions with their televisions even with a small marketshare
samsung should try to prevent that.......so they should work really hard and try to develop their televisions and add features that would make their devices the best compromise between the price and performance..
45. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
Not much space left for development when the idea or technology has already been done and by no means something new. A TV that doesn't have a cable subscriber or Satellite Tv abilities will not make it in a market where Families are looking for Network programs etc. And believe me, not too many manufactures that would be Dumb enough to make a tv that requires Apple products only, to get the entertainment they want and Dumb enough to pay the unrealistic cost to use the Apple name and be tied down to less choices.
There is already Televisions that can be controlled with Hand Gestures/movements and some that are controlled by voice. Not new and not much that Apple to do to make that better to make it worth a high cost.
As the business experts claim, Apple use to claim they are the idea inventors but it's been since the first iphone that there has been a new idea..
Not sure how forcing people to buy others products from them to work with a product of Apple's they already own able to make Apple Billions when so many other products work with no matter what Brand..
46. techspace (Posts: 1036; Member since: 03 Sep 2012)
actually, it will work, with the rich.......and also with the existing apple customers
apple can make it a A TV that has a cable subscriber or Satellite Tv abilities, but with some additional apple terms
now apple can squeeze more money for them but it will work, just like, developers love to make apps for ios than android or any other os on the planet
the functionality will be good, but it would be closed and customers will have to spend more than they usually spend with any other television
the tv will also look very very good, with a minimal and perfect design
now i have been using samsung products(phones, refrigerators etc) for years, and i like their products
i don't say that samsung TVs will be doomed, i just want to say that samsung doesn't want to leave any room for apple.......apple may not kill samsung televisions especially because of apple's premium price tags, but its better to be ready and not to take anything for granted isn't it?..
47. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
With the Rich? What does Rich have to do with Apple... Apple is not that expensive to only be had by the Rich. In fact the Rich, if you needed to have something Unique and Rare, wouldn't be a Apple product. They do have phones that are Designed by Designer Brands and the Majority of them have been other Brand Names Manufacturing that Designer Phone.
How would the Designer make money of the Design after paying the Apple license fee. That is where and how Apple gets most of their money, Making companies contract very overpriced agreements and fees to use their name. As a Retail, you can't just order Apple products as you need them, you have to buy their Minimum quantity in order to be able to get them at all...
Smart but Slimy way to sell a quantity of Apple products and it makes Apple look like major selling while the Retail has the problem of getting rid the overage.
48. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
As for the TV, There are two Satellite companies, with one already with Samsung, which they will stay with, not just because Samsung is and has been the Largest TV manufacturing for many many years, but because they have Founded an Alliance Group together and No way Apple can Copy this feature much less join the Group.
Details:Search Samsung DirecTv...
It's no surprise Samsung and DirecTV have linked up. The companies are both founding members of the RVU Alliance, a group of firms trying to make remote user interface (RUI) technology a reality in homes across the world. The idea is to provide home-networked products that allow users to stream entertainment media from device to device. Cisco, Broadcom, and Verizon are also founding members of the consortium.
In order to get this new technology to work, Samsung has embedded the RVU protocol, which is based on DLNA and UPnP, into its 2012 Smart TVs. The protocol will work with DirecTV's HR34 Home Media Center HD-DVR, which can interact with multiple Samsung televisions at the same time.
So with Cable companies being so many and not concentrated like Satellite, Apple won't try that area, heck, you should see that by the new phone not having, NFC,Wireless Charging, Google wallet, and it can go on and on...
So to be fair to you, Please give an Example that would make good business sense to do? They have others manufacture all their parts, when the competition designs, builds and sells to the majority .
49. techspace (Posts: 1036; Member since: 03 Sep 2012)
i don't want an argument now.........but the rich people love apple, i have seen many rich people buying the macbooks instead of the other PCs because of the good looks and high price, you may be talking about USA, but in the other countries, apple products are very very expensive, much more expensive than any other product in the market, even the ifans will buy the apple televisions.......they can make billions with their high profit margins
now you are trying to say that samsung televisions are already good, i am trying to say that samsung televisions are good because they have fought hard and tried their best without ignoring the others, its lke, you are having good televisions in the market, that doesn't mean that you should stop over there, you should work harder and move a high as you can because we don't know what the other have made....
50. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
You're so called Rich customer isn't the biggest percentage buyer of Apple products, and saying the Rich buy just because of high Price is silly. The Rich, don't counted for the majority of US.
I think you may be confusing Apple's Sales Total in Dollars with Quantity sold. Apple's Profits are from overpriced products and not how many they sold, in return they may win the Profits brought game but doesn't make them the winner of what products are the most popular or just total quantity sold of a Product.
In the one country that Apple is/was the most Popular, Japan, they are the Lowest cost of all Countries..Here's the List:
1.$2,225 – Tokyo, Japan
2.$2,446 – Bangkok, Thailand
3.$2,548 – San Francisco, USA
4.$2,601 – Sydney, Australia
5.$2,745 – New York, USA
6.$2,779 – Dubai, UAE
7.$3,006 – Cape Town, South Africa
8.$3,160 – Stockholm, Sweden
9.$3,222 – Warsaw, Poland
10.$3,264 – Prague, Czech Republic
11.$3,280 – London, England

I just said what I have seen....... Samsung products can be purchased by the poor, I am talking about the cheaper Samsung products..... But apple products are more expensive, I have seen the richer college students and businessmen prefer apple, anyways, thanks for the info.... Lets end this here now.....

Unless the screen is at least 5. 5 inches with an S pen I'm not interested. Well I'm always interested but my note 2 is still thelove of my life. I like it better than my wife's Boobs. Thank you phone arena for all your interesting information... Merry Christmas to you and all your followers

If not CES then it may be announced during MWC.

Galaxy S3 is getting old with all the new android phones with 1080 full HD screen like HTC droid dna. If samsung doesn't announce S4 in jan 8 CES then sammy is in trouble for delaying the S4 release to may. Look at apple.. in less than 6 months from the release of ipad3 comes the ipad4.
When the competition is high then you must act fast. Samsung will be left with only the note2 as hot device where the S3 is getting old now.
17. Just_a_boy (Posts: 183; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
The Galaxy S3 is selling like water in desert in the current season, Galaxy S3 still relevant as a high-end phone, only HTC is selling 1080p phones in U.S. but GS3 still selling more.
26. Shino (banned) (Posts: 196; Member since: 23 Jul 2012)
It is selling good for an android device. If you want selling numbers look at the iphone's. Even in China, dude! 2 million in 2 days!!! Nice, ah?!
27. belovedson (Posts: 987; Member since: 30 Nov 2010)
1080p is totally unnecessary for such a screen for the time being. i really doubt the dna is selling as well as verizon and htc woud like.
40. clo2923 (Posts: 1; Member since: 18 Dec 2012)
I just got the dna and honestly coming from the s3 there isnt too much that this droid has over the s3 aside from screen and battery life and raw processing power, feature wise the s3 still blows everything else away thats out in the market , I sell s3's like crazy still just as many as i do iphones and i can definitly vouch for samsung . The s3 is by no means old or getting old its probably the most iconic android to date. samsung will be selling the s3 like crazy the next year until the s4 release. so you make no sense...
41. SirCody (Posts: 8; Member since: 23 Dec 2012)
LOL...you do know that 1080 on a phone isn't as big of a deal as the specs of what 1080 is? Even tho your screen may display 1080, if there isn't anything in 1080 to display, there isn't much benefits. That means the Apps, Content, Videos etc etc etc all have to be 1080 and that isn't the fact. Just because you have a 1080 tv doesn't mean you are watching it in 1080. Fact: stil today most movies, tv, etc aren't in 1080 and between a 720 and 1080 tv, there isn't much more benefits of the 1080 because unless you have a 60" plasma and you are watching a 1080 video and you are sitting about 3 or so feet from the screen then you really can't see any difference between the 720 and the 1080. The Samsung S III records in 1080 and that pretty much is overkill.
Those Computer Monitors before 1080 flat screens etc were higher resolution then your 1080's.
Fact: The smaller the Text, the Higher the resolution needs to be to be Clear and readable on that average sized Monitor.
So for a phone's screen size, the webpage etc would be so small that you would have to zoom in on every page. 1080 phone screen will not allow you to see more on the screen, just lets you see that there is more to see but it has to be zoomed in.

It's too soon, and would hurt sales of the still popular SIII.
21. Rocksteady (unregistered)
exactly, at least give the S3 buyers the chance to enjoy their phone being a top one before releasing the next gen.
Merry Christmas everybody.
22. caustictoast (Posts: 31; Member since: 07 Aug 2012)
The s3 is 6 months old now. I got one and already moved onto the nexus 4. The s3 isn't the go to answer for an android phone these days especially with the one x+ and Optimus G being released. In May it will have been a year which means it's time for an upgrade from the s2. Samsung wants those people to have the option of a recent phone so the s4.
28. belovedson (Posts: 987; Member since: 30 Nov 2010)
i would rather own a s3 over a nexus 4.
here are the following.
