Oh please! Learn how to debate properly. These are the facts, you claim that it is mostly marketing which you have no proof of. The only thing that I am saying is that it is NOT mostly marketing. I do not need to prove anything, although I already gave a lot of evidence with superior reviews, awards, sales, and word of mouth in favor of Smasung(you do not achieve all of that if it is mostly marketing and you are just ignoring my proof like a fanboy) while you gave ZERO proof. You claim that it is mostly marketing, which requires proof to make such a strong statement. I am saying it could be a variety of reasons or a combination, which means I am not making any claim to what it is so I do not require proof even though I just gave you proof. My proof is that there are too many other possible reasons for sales, great reviews, and awards to rule in favor of marketing. That is proof. I just need to give other possibilities and that is proof, which I have done. All I need to do is cause doubt that it isn't mostly marketing while you have to prove that it is mostly marketing. You understand dumb ass? If you were not so stupid you would have seen that a long time ago. The fact that marketing has nothing to do with review scores and awards also disproves your retarded mostly marketing theory. What disproves the possibility that quality is the driving factor? Nothing you spewed. In fact, the review scores and awards support the quality theory because marketing doesn't dictate higher scores and awards compared to the competition, quality does.

Um, the Qualcomm 600 in the HTC One uses DDR2 ram and the GS4 is the only phone that is known to have DDR3 for sure. For the Optimus G pro and Padfone infinity I haven't done enough research to verify what type of ram those tow handsets use but I do know the GS4 has much faster RAM than the HTC One. I suggest you go do some research before you claim that you have corrected me on specifications.

Hands on time does not equate to a full review. Maybe in butt hurt HTC fan world but in the real scientific world those things are thrown out until both parties receive the retail review units, so no your point doesn't stand for much.

After all this time you are still too pathetic to realize what I have been talking about all a long. No, I am not convinced I am right and you are wrong. I am convinced that I may be right and you are wrong. There is a big difference. I am open to it being a combination of factors with quality being an important factor. You are hell bent in arguing that marketing is the main factor and driving force, which isn't supported by anything, just by your pure fanboy speculation.

And before you come up with a stupid reply read what you wrote yourself.

"what i'm saying is that it's MOSTLY marketing but you seem hell bent on trying to convince everybody that it's not mostly about the marketing and that it has more to do with the quality and excellence of the Galaxy S series."

Your claim: Samsung's success is MOSTLY marketing.

My claim: I didn't make any claim. I am just in your words, debating your stupid claim.

Who needs proof in this scenario? You! I just disprove, which I have done so so soo many posts ago by offering other very plausible and possible reasons Samsung's succes. You need proof that it is mostly marketing which you have no way of proving. So if you can't prove it, it defaults back to it could be anything which is the same as it is probably NOT mostly marketing.

Simple logic.

And let's look at this again because you seem to need a lesson reading comprehension and debate.

"what i'm saying is that it's MOSTLY marketing but you seem hell bent on trying to convince everybody that it's not mostly about the marketing and that it has more to do with the quality and excellence of the Galaxy S series."

"MOSTLY marketing" and "more to do with" (your words not mine). Which of these two "claims" is more bold and requires more evidence and support? One is a bold blanket statement that requires solid proof and the other is just a thought. You figure out which is which Einstein.

i hadn't even seen these replies before i made my reply because these had shifted into another page but i think the reply i just made pretty much covers this.

i'm just wondering now why are you desperately going at me like this? nothing you're saying is disproving anything i'm saying or really making it seem stupid at all. what i see is you desperately trying to tell me that there are other factors to Samsung's success and i've never really said there wasn't which is why i made a point to all caps "MOSTLY" before so that you could understand that more easily. unless you're just the terribly butthurt fanboy i'm really thinking you are then you're just terribly misunderstood.

the One X made enough blows in reviews (including becoming Engadget's favorite phone of last year) and awards for it to have cut into the SIII's sales more than it didn't if we didn't equate the other things which marketing does have an influence on because they're the result of sales. word of mouth among normal people would come from people who have bought the device or heard about it from a form of marketing and naturally satisfaction surveys would lean towards the SIII because there were more people to had been satisfied by the SIII than the One X or any other phone for that matter because there were more people that owned the SIII which was caused by say it with me...more sales.

It says on the official HTC website and Anandtech confirms it.

The One X didn't get nearly as many rewards as the GS3 and some websites even gave the One X a 7.8 which I believe is well deserved. Plus many people I know and read from forums exchanged it for a GS3 and never looked back. That should tell you something.

I am not going after you. Haha you are just too stubborn and insist that it is mainly marketing. You still don't get it, sigh. When you buy something, the default reason, if nothing can be proved is I want so I bought it. If you want to prove that I bought the item because I was influenced by marketing instead of me just liking it and buying it because it has good value, YOU have to prove that, not me. If you can't prove it, like you can't, then it defaults back to my original reason which was because I like it and believe that it is a good value.

The same applies to every company whether it is Apple or Samsung. People buy their products because they believe it is worth buying, which falls more into quality rather than marketing. I am not saying marketing is not a part of it but saying that it is a huge part with strong stupid sayings like MOSTLY marketing just makes you look like a fan boy.

Look at the chart comparing the iphone 5, gs3, HTC One, GS4 under ram.

And yes, HTC is crappy enough to save money by downgrading the ram. They downgraded parts before to save money.

The fact is that there is MUCH MUCH more evidence that suggest it isn't just marketing than it is. If the GS3 just simply beat the One X in sales than you might have a case but even then your theory is on thin ice.

The GS3 beat the One X in sales, reviews, awards, word of mouth, satisfaction surveys, the whole works. Quality would satisfy and explain all those wins. Marketing would only satisfy the sales category.

So you are telling me that you actually still believe that it is mostly marketing? Puleeze! Haha

that it does and whoever is correct is really irrelevant because like i said the benchmarks don't indicate better memory performance from the S4 and i'm sure as hell that it won't be perceived in real life performance either so whether it is or it isn't DDR3 it really might as well be.

for people to have exchanged their One X's for SIII's there would have to have been people with SIII's willing to trade for One X's...sssss!

so what if i am? that would be silly, you obviously bought an SIII or whatever you're talking about because you liked it and you're a fan of it but you can't talk for tens of millions of people. not everybody are enthusiasts like you and me. see you have to prove to me that marketing wasn't the most major influence for those people to me and justify all the times you've called me stupid for thinking so just like i have to prove to you that it isn't. i'm not gonna sit back and tell you, a clear Samsung fanboy that you were influenced by marketing. that would be a waste of my time and words. you are just one person.

i believe that last paragraph is the most naive thing you've typed up for me thus far...here's your choices. either prove that it's MOSTLY quality to pretty much sum up what you said at the end there or agree to disagree and STFU because you're exhausting guy...

Now you are just reaching. You don't smoke someone in every category because of marketing.

Anyways, I am done. I obviously can't have a properly constructed debate with you.

Okay fine, it is all marketing even if that is stupid. This thread is getting too old. Almost on the 3rd page. I'll see you in some other thread. :p
