From the grain of salt department, Apple has supposedly given an order for 10 million CDMA iPhone units to contract manufacturer Pegatron...

These rummors going over and over, phonearena please you gonna cause a masive suicide among the slow-rizon fanboy comunity...!!!!
6. deadpool_ct (Posts: 18; Member since: 23 Mar 2010)
HAHAHA, you are so funny with your slow-rizon comment, but I last read that even with your talk and surf with AT&T, you still have more dropped calls, and are lacking in customer service, that is why I see more and more people leaving AT&T to come to Verizon. So go right ahead and keep your out of date iPhone, and I will continue getting newer and more advanced devices that dont make me have to jump through hoops just to get an app created and put on the market place.

STFU witht he Slowrizon crap already. Stop Hatting. Jesus. Go with Fag-T&T VERIZON FTW!

Guess what fanboy i do it everyday, talk and surf the web, check my email or see the trafic on google maps while am in a call. I live in Miami where there's a lot of iphone users and I never experience those fantasy wet dreams of droped calls that going around slow-rizon fanboys minds for years. You like many fanboys easily bash AT&T surf and talk capabilities cuz you never experienced that with slow-rizon or sprint and you never will with that obsolete CDMA network....!!!

What are you talking about i see verizon customer coming to AT&T almost daily at my retail store
15. whocares (Posts: 235; Member since: 19 Dec 2009)
Q1 reports show AT&T added more customers so I dont know what you guys are talking about.
17. deadpool_ct (Posts: 18; Member since: 23 Mar 2010)
Take into count that most of them walking into your store are like moths to a flame with the iPhone, only because they were never shown the idea of an Android powered super machine like the Incredible (which btw, crushes the iPhone in speed and reliability in call quality). But then again, I just did a 5 line port over from AT&T, and they had iPhones, and hated them.

Its customer preference man thats all youre arguing and its a never ending battle.
26. networkdood (Posts: 6329; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
The stats show people are leaving for AT&T for the iphone - however, it will be interesting to see how this works out in 2 years.
27. networkdood (Posts: 6329; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
ok, so you want him to stop saying SLOWRIZON and yet you say FAGT&T - you are no better....
28. networkdood (Posts: 6329; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
He does make a good point - it will be moot someday when Verizon switches to GSM....
38. sinfulta (Posts: 268; Member since: 11 Dec 2008)
Get it right people. LTE IS NOT GSM NOR CDMA it's it's OWN technology.

Android Incredible Beats Iphone....go to cnet.com if you want proof....
13. Mateo8326 (Posts: 472; Member since: 15 Jul 2009)
cnet don't make up for the whole populations that just their opinion
16. whocares (Posts: 235; Member since: 19 Dec 2009)
if cnet.com told you to jump off a bridge because its healthier than eating an orange would you do it?
19. jkeskel (Posts: 52; Member since: 23 May 2009)
Well, if you think about it, an orange has citric acid which can harm some people's stomach lines, whereas jumping off a bridge could be bungee jumping, which the only side effects are wind burn and fresh air! Lol

it is funny - in the battle of tech toys - say NINTENDO vs SEGA - NINTENDO won out and SEGA had superior hardware - but nintendo had better marketing and better games from NINTENDO itself - so, the best phone may not win the sales battle...
40. killingthemonk (Posts: 52; Member since: 19 Feb 2009)
Yeah, that's like the XBox 360 vs. PS3. PS3 is clearly a better machine. It doesn't have an issue with the red rings of death. However, Microsoft has better marketing and prices. So more people buy a machine they know is going to go bad on them.

Here is a crazy thought: Sprint is going to be the MAN. The new iphone is supposedly 4g and why release a 4g phone on a silly 3g at&t network? Therefore, Evo and iphone 4g on the same network (Sprint) released about a month apart to allow the Evo to steal alot of sales and then all the iphone fannies can go and get their iphone.
14. Mateo8326 (Posts: 472; Member since: 15 Jul 2009)
yeah they are MAN right now b/c the are the 1st ones to roll at 4g of course that only makes since, but when the other companies pull out 4g as well than what they be back where they started sprint still isn't the #1 or #2 provider so whats that prove
18. deadpool_ct (Posts: 18; Member since: 23 Mar 2010)
Plus you also have to look at the fact that they are running WiMax and are already thinking about dumping it once they have the money to improve their crap ass network to handle LTE, but Verizon was the smart ones and already has LTE in place in most of its coverage, all they have to do is turn it on, and then you are looking at faster download speeds than that craptastic WiMax network. I say if the WiMax technology didnt work for people in Mexico, why bring it to the table for your 40 million customers??? can someone answer that?
22. Hello-dirt (Posts: 102; Member since: 02 May 2010)
Because Mexico is the technology Mecca of the World? Bad example. They tried a few other things and failed. I am not saying Wimax is special, but it is already in place and working; therefore, it is at the table because the other three carriers are still at the grocery store trying to figure out how they will bring their goods to the table.

no.. no sadly your mistaken. vzw has the palm pre, htc incredible, moto droid, droid eris, moto devour, pretty much every blackberry known to man, palm pixi, and possibly the iphone. vzw is slowly testing and making fixes to their upcoming lte gsm network because they arent like sprint, they put time and effort into their network. sprint released 4g like a year ago only because they wanted to be "better" and "exclusive"... constant reports come out saying vzw has the fastest data speeds AND the least dropped calls. i just dont understand why nobody else can see this. -_-
30. networkdood (Posts: 6329; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
The new iphone is not going to be 4G, lol.....LTE is not even true 4G...
31. networkdood (Posts: 6329; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
The most recent data speeds by PC WORLD show AT&T was faster on average - but I get your point - SPRINT is handling too many different networks at the same time. Verizon does have a good track record, but not with the UNION....
34. dyster (Posts: 63; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
Is it common knowledge that VZW LTE is GSM? I'm just not familiar with that technology.
36. Jojofromdabay (Posts: 39; Member since: 06 Apr 2010)
What are you smoking? At&t may have faster capabilities but because of the other issues like Dropped Calls it doesn't matter overall speed is what's necessary VZW is the best then Tmobile then At&T an Sprint is garbage they killed nextel..
33. dyster (Posts: 63; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
"others apparently won't be satisfied until their handset says "iPhone" on the back." Are people on other networks REALLY dying for iphones? Maybe say 2 yrs ago. But with what's out and coming shortly, I can't see it. The iphones Achilles Heal is At&T and the App store numbers are nonsense. 100k apps, but really they have 5,000 calc apps, and 800 calendar apps etc. I'm way over this silliness.
35. Jojofromdabay (Posts: 39; Member since: 06 Apr 2010)
Yes People still want the iphone with other carriers and yes the android phones out are kicking apple's ass right now but only because of small features like camera with more mega pixels an better calling features . However the iphones currently on the market are still brand new compared to what's coming, it makes no since for people to believe that Steve Jobs is going to let Android take over no way. Also Apple has better apps first of all and they also have high flash memory better os so yes I believe we are about to see a new era of phones coming from Apple and every one who believes that they will stay the same are about to get a rude awakening.

I was about to type a lengthy response stating why you don't know what you're talking about but i'm just going to say this. You are an idiot.

I love my HTC Incredible and Android OS and I don't really care if iPhone comes to VZW or not. VZW LTE system and network deployments will be July 2010 and market release will be last quarter of the 2010, just 5 months away. VZW LTE is SIM card driven which is also functionally better than WiMax 4G since you can switch your SIM card to 4G laptops or 4G dongles which are also going to be available on Q4. LTE Phones are coming 1st Quarter of 2011 and I'm already hearing lots of manufacturers working with VZW to produce the LTE phones. Don't get stuck with 2 yr contract with HTC EVO just yet...
