What would a world without Android look like? Would I even care about mobile?

The innovation and imagination that Google has fostered since taking it over has revolutionized the industry. There would be no push for "better" had Android not redefined what "good" should be. Don't have a clue what is next, but willing to bet on them to force the issue, and I love them for it.

Let's talk in 4 years. I hear there are a couple of predictions that say this Android thing won't make it.....

An outstanding amount of growth.

Android's biggest value has been to ride the excitement about having a smartphone which the iPhone started and satisfy that while making the smartphone much more affordable. As it's done so, Apple has started to mimic the pricing model of its competitors and ensure that lower cost models make it to the carriers it sells on. The result is smartphone adoption at a rate you couldn't get if you had an army holding guns to peoples' heads.

I said it the other morning and I'll say it now: even if Android dies off, and even if that die off comes quickly, it's still made its contribution and affected the smartphone market for the better. And as long as good Android devices are released and the software keeps improving Android is where I will stay.

Happy birthday android! I hope you and ur mediocracy die soon. So the world realizes how far Behind iOS you are. You are simply awful, you complicate lives, you force close my life and tempt me into installing custom roms which soon screw up my phone. You let OEMS rape you and f**k your entire look and feel and end up losing even the little beauty you have. You always appear in phones that look like mini tablets which are uncomfortable to hold and mostly ugly. Android, you let me down.

Android is like Ford Model T (the first mass produced car), till Model T came about not many people could afford cars, smilarly till Android came about not many could afford a smart phone.
Android changed the mindset that free is always inferior
