There is one simple reason why there is no GPS. Any guesses? you hackers know why don't you? It is the same thing they have run into with other previous offerings. If they put GPS in it, it only takes a simple registry hack to unlock it for free. If you have a data plan therei s no way for them to know if they are getting cheated. So to all those out there wining about it, get over it. No freebe for you this time.

After suffering through 2 years of horrible reception with my Treo 700w, the only question I have is, "How is the call quality?"

I said that was a fine example, a fine example of why you would want to lock down GPS on a windows smartphone since you can't regulate it. sprint shells out millions of dollars every year paying for GPS they don't get a penny of. following the bread crumbs yet?

why do people always make it seem as though Verizon is the manufacturer of these devices...if you think teh device is lacking or that its "cheap" then take that up with HTC

Why are you guys defending corporations as if its something worth getting angry about? I am pretty sure there is better things in life to get angry about don't you? Also why get angry about this phone and any phone that is getting released by Verizon and just wait until the go open network then wait for that beloved phone you think is perfect for you....until then calm down people jeez your arguing about pieces of plastic and metal....

it doesn't really matter who's better and whose not what does matter is price and vzw is crazy to think that 15.36 a mb for a month is ok. At sprint i pay 15.00 a month for true unlimted ( no caps) but i guess when your in it to make money thats what you do uh?

The reason the HTC Touch is listed as the Verizon Wireless XV6900 is because VZW's distributor for CDMA devices is UTSTARCOM, which is sub-licensed by HTC. So its not VZW who "cheaps out" or whatever you guys are B*tching about it is the SAME DEVICE as SPRINT, minus the Multimedia stuff....

I have the XV6900 and have talked to a few Verizon managers. As of now, the new $29 smartphone data plan CAN NOT be used with the XV6900. They are hoping that the system will allow it in a few weeks.

Two words to describe American Networks: 1. Pathetic 2. Capitalism $16 for 1MB is a horrendous charge. In UK, you can get an unlimited data plan for 35 pounds. In the Philippines, data is charged by the time ($0.50 per 30 mins; that's $12 for the entire day). Pathetic...

37. Sprint who? (unregistered) posted on 22 Apr 2008, 21:29 0 0
You talk Sprint up so much yet there fourth quarter was terrible, the reason Sprint is dismissed as an example is because they aren't, lets all go to a carrier that loses more customers then they bring in.

The 29.99 plan is available on the device...... The 5Gb cap is only on Aircards and Brodband Access Connect (using the phone as a modem). So you do get unlimited data on the PDA pack (both 29.99 and 44.99)!
