The Sanyo 2700 is their first QWERTY messaging device for the States and will be landing on Sprint May 10th at a bargain price of $29.99. Aimed squarely at the low end, the phone features a modest 1.3 megapixel camera, 1x data and no memory expansion. With your color options being pink and royal blue Impulsive Pink and Deep Blue- the former in an inlayed floral pattern (think the LG Lotus) and the latter a checkered back- we don't expect to see this device in the hands of many legal voters. Still, it features a QVGA display (but only 65k colors), GPS navigation and Sprint Mobile Email, plus Sprint's new Social Zone application which doesn't appear to be fully operational yet. For $30 you could do worse.

"The Sanyo 2700 is the first QWERTY messaging device for the States" What a scoop! A phone with a full keyboard, that truly is a first!

It said the first qwerty messaging device from Sanyo for the states. So yeah it is truly a first from that manufacturer. Why must you be a smarta* all of the time?

For $30 it's a nice bargain. This is not meant for business users.

-Actually if i were to choose between Sanyo, Samsung and LG for a basic messaging device...Sanyo would be the choice. They don't make really hi tech stuff...but they never fail for quality and reliability..!!
