Hands-on preview of the Samsung Trance music phone
Share:
For music storage, there is 1GB dedicated internal memory and you can use up to 16GB microSDHC cards. The music player sports a variety of user settings for Equalizer, 3D Sound (headphone only), and Skins. Multitasking is also supported, which means you can listen to music while performing other tasks, such as sending a text message for an instance. A 3.5mm headset jack allows for easy connection to wired earbuds, and Stereo Bluetooth is also here.
Overall the Trance is a nice slider, in-call quality seems good, but it is missing EVDO for data.

agreed and maybe samsung perfected the venus flaws that made it one of the worst "high end" phones. the reason mine was bad was not the screen but the microphone would not work when recording a video so i wonder if the trance will be the same

its a single speaker chocolate 8500 rehash. apparently samnsung is ignoring all the lessons learned by the first chocolate and just wants to redo them all. heres to crazy pocket dialing and insanity!

This unit isnt that bad......When we got our promo kit from Samsung, everyone rolled their eyes and left the room. (not really, but you get the point) I ended up playing around with it and i must say, for it being a samsung, im very pleased with the build. The phone well built, sliding it up and down feels solid. It fits perfectly in your hand and the responsiveness of the touch keys is great as well. I wouldnt worry too much about the pocket dialing and this thing is 100x better then any of the chocolate phones that have been released. Overall, good job Samsung on FINALLY bringing a higher end unit to VZW that doesnt suck.....

This phone is high end? It doesn't even have a razor on it!
