they have test models and non functional display phones in the stores already.. i got to play with one on Thursday before i ordered mine.. but they cant sell you one before the july 3 go live date.

This phone is just okay. For me, I would get the EnV2, as I prefer to have a QWERTY keyboard that you can feel and not mess up on as much as this "QWERTY" keyboard, which is why I have the EnV2. Having a touch screen is cool, but it's not for me. Overall, great phone, not for me.

I've had the phone for almost a day now. And the whole about the virtual QWERTY keyboard is not true. I have pretty big hands and i have no problem whatsoever with the QWERTY on the Dare. The response is pretty accurate, even with hands as big as mine. If you mess up alot on it, then it most likely human error and just takes some getting use to.

Just a few questions....I got my Dare and i love it! But, has anyone else noticed that when u r taliking on the on the phone theres a noise that kinda sounds like air in the background? U can here the other person really clearly there just seems to be a background noise. Also, with the camera has anyone noticed that when u push the button to take the picture it is really delayed. Again it takes awesome pictures it just seems to take a minute to snap after u push the button. If anyone has some insight on these things I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

ok i think the air in the background that u hear might just be ur phone.. try to send it back.... i have the phone too, i don't have that problem.. the camera delays when it takes a picture .. becuz it's focusing right, before it takes the picture.. it needs to do that otherwise u woul get blurry pictures...

um i ordered my phone friday before 5pm, and on the website it says overnight shipping monday through friday; included saturday shippings...does this mean i should expect my phone to come in today?

no called FedEx about mine no sat/sun . tracked it all fri orders inside locked container/truck in warehouse told me mon ordred mine thur 7am unless u told vw overnight for $10 more

The Verizon Dare phone will put the Apple iphone to shame. I got my Dare phone on 07/01/08. Muhammad Ali may be "The Greatest," but the LG Dare phone is the latest. On a scale of 1-10, I rate the Dare a 20.....

Has anyone tried using DARE as a modem for laptops? I was wondering, when you use DARE as a modem, do you have to pay separate fees, or are you using internet included in nationwide plan as a mobile internet?

The feature you need for laptop connection is called Broadband Access Connect. which is 59.99 and is a feature that is able to be added/removed at any time. it allows 5gb of data xfer per month.

yea you're talking about something else. DARE can also be used as a tethered modem and inforsyc reviewed it. I just want to know how the pricing works with DARE as a modem. http://www.infosyncworld.com/reviews/cell-phones/lg-dare-vx9700/9545.html
