Well, we just heard back from HTC and the company confirmed that it's not a prototype of any future device. Apparently, it's just an early design when HTC and Sprint were considering carrying over the 3D feature, but it didn't make the cut. Mystery solved!

that was copied from engadget..

I'm glad they got rid of the 3D so they could focus on a quality display and high resolution camera quality.

At first I thought Jens Nielson is really handsome but then I realized that it is mostly due to his hair, clothes, and generally clean cut look. In summary, his grooming makes him more handsome than his genetics alone.

How easy you forget that the 3D had top of the line specs, especially the screen. It hass a qHD display that was top of the line until the Rezound/Nexus came out a half a year later. Funny how you forgot to mention that it has almost the same screen as the Maxx, which came out over a half year later and is suppose to be one of the best phones out there

Chill, I have a 3D, I know all of this. The display is nice but the 3D tech is not quite there yet. The way the phone handles 3D effectively halves your horizontal resolution when viewing and recording 3D content. The way it shoots 3D videos is by squishing two 640 x 720 videos into a 1280 x 720 frame. When it combines it, it unstretches the two feeds. Do you understand that? It upscales 640 resolution video into 1280 resolution video. It does the same thing to pictures.

If it handled the 3D properly by layering 2 feeds of full res capture then I would be all for it. If this were the case, I could take all of my pics and videos in 3D and simply edit out one of the cameras if I wanted to convert it back to 2D (without suffering a loss in quality). However, since it does not, I always shoot in 2D because the quality it better.

I didn't know how I felt about the new EVO's design when I first saw it but, now I'm starting to like it. It's unique and functional just like what they were going for. I believe it's getting a bad rap just because most people haven't really seen a phone like this before so they just kinda go with the flow of the popular opinion. It's actually pretty cool to me.

Heck I may just get the Evo 4g LTE instead . The kickstand definitely comes in handy when I want to watch videos.Android ICS on top of Sense 4.0(but I'll change that to GO Launcher). But I do want to see the Galaxy Nexus next week though.

Now here's something:You go to Sprint's website and look in the lower right corner where it says the ad for parental control,is it me or does that look like a Samsung Galaxy Note?A indication that may also be coming to Sprint too because I sure hope so.In the meantime,Samsung Galaxy S III !!!!

Good things are happening for Sprint as they upgrade their Vision Now or whatever they call it LTE. So like I tell myself chill be patient because it'll pay off in the long run.I left AT&T for them and glad I did .Not for unlimited but my bill is lower and here in South Florida that's perfect as well as anywhere else I travel.
