HTC says "This Sunday you'll discover something fast," could be introduction of quad-core model

0. phoneArena posted on 22 Feb 2012, 13:22

We now know a little more about HTC's MWC-eve event scheduled for this Sunday as the Taiwan based company left a little teaser in the form of a drawing of a generic handset with the number 5 in the middle; that could stand for the 5 cores found on the quad-core Tegra 3 processor on the HTC One X...

It's a shame that VZW locks HTC phones on their network.

What other network would you use them on? They're not GSM-compatible, and I believe Sprint and all the companies that use its network use different frequencies and a slightly different CDMA technology

That would be delecious.

Watch it be super fat, ugly as f**k, with Sense, and a 14 minute boot. Oh and the battery life will last 15 minutes.

I luv HTC because they build hi quality phones that last... and they stay on the cutting edge of whats hot

After using the Thunderbolt, I'd respectfully disagree. My Motorola and Samsung phones have been much more resilient to damage.

Is this a joke? Get a Samsung, and now Motorola seems to finally be stepping it up with the RAZR Maxx.

Or another possible explanation is that htc is going to demonstrate 5 new phones...

5. KingKurogiii posted on 22 Feb 2012, 14:27 3

HTC must be excited about finally showing off something fast for once.

normally, id be happy about this.............but after dealing with the HTC Inspire for almost a year, i dont like HTC anymore. Im a heavy user and Ive had issues like HTC Sense force closing, the phone would reset itself regularly, and the battery got hot (which lead to the battery draining quicker than usual) on numerous occasions and had it not been for the PowerSkin Battery case that I bought from Amazon.com, i wouldve got rid of this phone a long time ago.

Im going to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Note and not deal with HTC

13. greenrolaids posted on 22 Feb 2012, 16:40 2

im hoping its tegra 3 with a 5" screen

fingers crossed.

15. -box- posted on 22 Feb 2012, 18:33 2

Something to rival the Galaxy Note, please, but with more power and better battery life.. and maybe ICS, though I'm still ok with Gingerbread

And please, a variant for all carriers, like with the Samsung Galaxy and LG Optimus series
