Why the F**k do we need a "true" Facebook phone. How many people have so little of a life that they base their entire world of Facebook?

Teenagers, I guess. The HTC Status was supposed to fill this role, but it\'s not quite a modern smartphone.

Not many teenagers can afford all these data plans... who are they really trying to target?

Because teenagers pay for their phones? (for the most part)

Hope Facebook has much time to improve our Facebook app on android. Gosh!! that thing cannot even sync birthdays and events to calender, something that even the ever crappy Nokia social app is still doing for me on my Nokia N8

I get birthdays just fine sooooo

ZOMG! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS PHONE! THAT WAY WHEN I GO OUT AND I'M WITH MY FRIENDS I CAN INSTEAD LOOK AT MY PHONE THE WHOLE TIME AND WONDER WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE DOING!! THIS IS AWESOME! NOT TO MENTION THAT EVERYTIME I TAKE A PICTURE I CAN IMMEDIATELY UPLOAD IT TO FACEBOOK AND THEN SIT THERE AND WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO COMMENT OR LIKE IT! AND FINALLY I CAN UPDATE MY STATUS EVERY 5 MINUTES! "I'm brushing my teeth :)" "My toes look funny :P" "I'm boorrreeeddd someone text me ;)"

I wish society wasn't going into the pits with social networking. We need to go back the opposite direction where we use to actually talk to people in real life.

very true. i guess this virtual social networking is screwing out real life.

Maybe its the HTC Status 2, this time a better keyboard.

I heard that the UI of this phone is actually gonna resemble....facebook.

Just a rumor.

Kids loved the Status, when I was trying to sell them I would tell the parents that they\'d never have to worry about where their kids were or not knowing what they were doing as long as they were friends with their kids on facebook. But seriously, HTC realizes that these kids are going to grow up and buy phones in the future. Its very important to build brand loyalty early.
