I'm not a fans of HTC but must say this straight...
The one x may not be the fastest processor but it is the most useful device I've ever experience, frienstream is the most huge advantage of having it, after compare it to the ios 6 Facebook Twitter integration... (i Will compare it to the window phone soon)
Not to mention about the HTC web browser, it change my life for surfing internet due to the auto text adjust on every site. It ease me a lot, and I saved a lot of PA article also using this web browser so that I can re-read offline (i dunno other android device can do it or not)
Beats audio? Meh... But HTC do change my life that 32gb of storage makes me a music lover :)
Everytime I open and look at the HTC lockscreen, it makes my iDevice looks like a toy :(
My honest and humble words... So please do not hate sense ui... And I wish the next sense can make even better :)

I would take any promises by HTC witha grain of salt as they are horrible in executing their "promises". Still waiting on that famed Ice Cream update for the Thunderbolt. I will just root the damn thing before my contract is up to at least improve battery life and jump ship to a device that actually has a future.

Its your dear carrier Verizon's fault , dont blame poor HTC on this .
The devices released close to thunderbolt's time frame on verizon dont even promised to receive ICS . So dear speckled apple , if you like Verizon so much use an iphone , you will receive updates on time although i dont think you like the iPhone . So its best to use an android phone unlocked like the very cheap Unlocked Galaxy Nexus from the Google Play Store ..Android and Verizon dont really mix well . Hope the thunderbolt's update dont get cancelled . Good luck :)

But thats the thing its not just about Verizon, though they have a large part in this nonsense. If something goes wrong on the device people do not blame Verizon, they blame the company that made the phone. Its all about perception. If people perceive that HTC has not done enough to support their own creations, Verizon will get a pass and HTC will get the negativity.
As techies we know better but the same still applies. HTC should have better control over the devices they release. Like other manufacturers they should show more control over when it gets updates. Without that again public perception will follow them right into the ground. Verizon is irrelevant. And so are your little quips.

T-Mobile is going to update their One S before AT&T updates their One X. T-Mobile has been pretty solid with updating their phones this year so kudos to them.

Everyone is so negative about HTC's updating. They've updated all their high end 2011 portfolio to ICS, including the Incredible S and Desire S, which makes me believe that Verizon and CDMA might be the cause of the Thunderbolt / Incredible 2 update delay. I don't really understand that. Especially since Motorola clearly did worse by not updating a few of their 2011 phones to ICS. I think they handled the ics updates fairly well, so hopefully their JB updates process will go even better.

yes I wish I didn't feel like the EVO 4G LTE was the red headed step child or some other bastard child when it comes to anything JB related or HTC flagships.
