HTC continues to unlock the bootloader on some of its older devices as the latest list includes the HTC DROID ERIS which was launched via Verizon at the same time as the Motorola DROID; also included are the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and the T-Mobile myTouch 4G...

Really? I thought it did have an unlocked bootloader to be running custom ROM's all this time.

Unless that was a workaround.
