With the HTC One delayed until the end of the of next month in most markets outside of Germany, the U.K. and Taiwan, the Taiwan based manufacturer is extending the deadline for registration in its trade-in program for those looking to buy the HTC One; to qualify for a pre-paid Visa Gift card, you have until April 4th to pre-register for the deal, buy and activate the HTC One by April 30th and trade-in your old device by May 31st...

HTC one is getting delayed and is not launched in major markets till now. I am from India and we barely have HTC one X+ or Butterfly here till now. Looking at this pace i believe we should get HTC one some time in Q4 or maybe Q1 of 2014. By that time we might already have S5 or Note 3 available here. A phone with such great features should launched asap in both developed and developing markets. This were Samsung and Apple beats HTC. Evene Sony has made sure there new flagship is avail;able all over the world on time.

I agree, they should release this gorgeous phone ASAP, not delaying. If HTC continue delaying, I'm afraid to say that this year is an EPIC FAIL for HTC.

It's not HTC that's delaying, apparently a component manufacturer is holding back on parts.

Either way, no One for the U.S. market is a FAIL for HTC.

If they release this soon then it might end like Xperia Ion who was released in Q1 but was available sometime in Q3.

HTC is irrelevant in India.

I find HTC and Sony Phone attractive and different as compared to Samsung. Currently the design of every new or old Samsung phone is the same and its getting monotonous. But every phone of HTC or Sony is unique in design and hardware. They are taking the hit only because of availability of there product and poor Marketing strategy. If they overcome these 2 issues then they can give Samsung a run for there money.

Right now they are saying that the HTC One will be available in North America by the end of April. I seriously doubt the majority of people who want to take advantage of this offer will be able to purchase and activate by April 30. Either they are going to extend the offer again or a lot of people won't be able to get the refund.

Release date means everything with the GS4 on the way. How could they not anticipate the need for parts? I have to wonder how long this phone has been in development for them to be so behind. I want to see the underdog rise to the top but they seem to be digging their own hole.
