On another tech website, people were bitching about this like it's not a good thing. Yes, Beats may not be the greatest sound quality in the world compared to high end audio manufacturers, but the average person hasn't heard of those brands. Everyone knows of Dr. Dre's Beats line. This is a smart move by HTC and I am excited for better all around audio quality on the high end HTC phones!

Beats Audio is not all that great unless we are talking about their headphones. I just purchased a new HP Laptop with Beats Audio and it’s not all that impressive. Its defiantly not worth the extra money to add it on the products.

Why don't they just make a beats handset? I liked how the video only featured black men and white females. lol

Youre so wrong.
Bose has execelent quality. I use them myself and am very impressed by the sound from Bose.
They are a bit expensive though, but i don't care, i want them anyways since they have the best quality.

Bose is definitely more reputable and better for Sound production but you don't want to know the extra cost that would add to HTC devices. It would be too darn expensive!!!

LMAO!!!! THIS is there BIG announcement? Lol, a freaking deal with one of those freaking rappers? Who cares? Rap is a horrible form of music, they wasted this time announcing this garbage?
12. The_Mizter (unregistered)
You wasted your time responding to it. LOL
19. The_Miz (Posts: 1496; Member since: 06 Apr 2011)
It only takes five minutes of my time to respond to comments
31. wumberpeb (Posts: 453; Member since: 14 Mar 2011)
Pretty sad that it took you 5 minutes to write that, just sayin
13. twenti7 (Posts: 152; Member since: 09 Jul 2011)
And you're a horrible form of Troll. Your point is?
Anyway you're completely off. Rap and Hip-Hop have been a huge part of both the mainstream and undergound/indie music industries for the better part of 3 decades now, and Dr. Dre has been a major force in the scene for almost as long. While I agree that Beats aren't quite as high of a quality as other similarily priced brands, there is no denying that they are very popular and have become almost iconic.
This is definiely a great move for HTC, so long as they market it right and add some well-designed software (a good music player that can actually compare to iTunes, a decent equalizer, etc), and hardware (a better external speaker on the phone) to go along with it. Who knows, maybe we'll finally see some decent headphones with a mic and audio controlls that are made for Android, and not just iPod/iPhone.

Your comment sounds like you're implying ipods actually have good hardware and iTunes is actually good software?
....weird. I couldn't possibly agree less >.>
16. twenti7 (Posts: 152; Member since: 09 Jul 2011)
I never said anything about hardware in refrence to iPods. But as far as iTunes, it is one of the most widely used music players in the world. And for good reason too. It is the cleanest, best looking format, and it is by far the simplest to use. Not to mention the fact that it's the only good music player with access to a decent online music store. For people who already have all their music on iTunes it's kind of a pain in the ass to get music from that to an Android phone. Even with easy sync apps, there's a few extra steps.

Pfft, when pigs fly. HTC wasted time announcing this bs where they could've announced they were going to be making better phones instead of working with an industry that makes music off of cussing and talking about drugs. This isn't even worthy of being a big announcement.
25. rican (Posts: 132; Member since: 02 Jul 2011)
you are a lost soul, do you even know anything about rap or hip hop, or are you just listening to the radio
28. twenti7 (Posts: 152; Member since: 09 Jul 2011)
Apparently he just hates music, considering that there is almost no genre (besides classical and religious) that doesn't have artists who cuss or talk about drugs. Add this to his obvious ignorance of the fact that not every rap or hip-hop artist does these things, nor everybody who plays/sings rock, alternative, hardcore, etc.

LMAO!!!! this IS a big announcement. LOL i bet you if apple made a deal with one of the WWE wrestlers, you'd be saying it's the best deal ever made.
professional wrestling is a soap opera for *** men( like yourself) who like to see half naked men grope and touch each other(the diva fights are good though).
Rap IMHO is THE BEST kind of music currently out there. that's why it is so popular.
20. The_Miz (Posts: 1496; Member since: 06 Apr 2011)
LOL, rap is the best kind of music out there? Ok, so Obama must be the best president and AOL is the best ISP. Hey, if you're going to pull bs out of the air, why stop there kiddo?
29. twenti7 (Posts: 152; Member since: 09 Jul 2011)
It's understandable for you to be hostile right now. Being an iSheep, Shepherd Jobs has tought you that having your own opinion is a shameful, evil thing, and must be scorned. Honestly, I pity you.
23. gallitoking (Posts: 4718; Member since: 17 May 2011)
wassup... dude I am a wrestling fan... if you only see wrestling as a bunch of men mostly in their underware running around touching each other.. then let me informed you that you ar wrong... WWE superstar ( they like to be reffered that way) are profesional at making a wrestling into entertainment... the wrestling industry is growing at a faster pace .. that they sell out every pay per view... their website is bigger than PA (sorry PA) .. their Monday night show beats anything on cable... so please by pass that they are half naked... as boxers are and also UFC ..
26. wassup (Posts: 565; Member since: 23 Jun 2011)
@gallitoking, i know they make money, but its not a real sport. that's what pisses me off, people defending it that it IS a real sport as if their lives depended on it. it kinda reminds me of people defending apple as if they were the best phone company, when clearly, they're not.
@Miz, Rap IS the best form of music for now, and as Rican wrote, but i want to add on it.
go listen to Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Dr.Dre, Lil' Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa and the rest.
clearly, you don't know real music if you can't appreciate rock.
or, you could be a rock(music, not Dwayne) fan, angry that Rap and Hip Hop led to the downfall of Rock, kinda like how Android is doing to iOS.
27. gallitoking (Posts: 4718; Member since: 17 May 2011)
I never used the word sports... I know is fake... and thats why I like it.. in a real arena the intensity is amazing and it relieves tension
33. wassup (Posts: 565; Member since: 23 Jun 2011)
my tension reliever is usually a long walk with my german shepherd (flash), followed by a night out with friends :P
anyways, you're a fan of wrestling, ok i'm ok with that. only bashing of the Miz allowed, no one else ;)
34. PeterIfromsweden (Posts: 1230; Member since: 03 Aug 2011)
I think that everyone has their own taste of music. No one can say that Rap and Hip hop is better than Pop or rock n roll.
It just depends on peoples taste.
When it comes to WWe wrestling, i have no idea what they are doing. Could anyone please explain what they do, it looks like they are actors or something, pretending to beh it in the face ?
You see over here in sweden we dont have WWe wrestling...
24. rican (Posts: 132; Member since: 02 Jul 2011)
its because your hearing s**t on the radio, i will agree to that, but listen to 2 pac, eminem, biggie smalls, big L, common, andre 3000, tech nine, busta rhymes, old school coolio and snoop dogg, nas, old school jayz, once you hear at least 3 tracks of each rapper then come back to me and let me know if its garbage or not, in the other hand you prolly wont understand and prolly say its garbage anyways
30. steveblowjobs (unregistered)
But it wasted everybody else's time reading it.
32. Exile SS (Posts: 40; Member since: 07 Oct 2010)
So the fact that Eminem's Recovery album hold the record for most electronic downloads of any album ever, was the best selling album worldwide of 2010, and many other attributes holds no water to the genre of rap? Well your opinion that rap is horrible is your opinion and holds no truth to statistics and facts.
17. wassup (Posts: 565; Member since: 23 Jun 2011)
lol i have a pair of Beats, but i prefer my zkullcandy skullcrushers more, the bass is AMAZING( it has a subwoofer in it)
