HTC is working on something new - will name it Zeal, Wildfire, Festi or Jovi?
How else can one of the biggest smartphone makers come up with the next name to one their next handsets? Well how about throwing a question on Facebook to allow friends to vote on the deal – sounds simple enough. There is never a time we doubt that HTC is not on the move of crafting a handset, but this time around it looks as though they're having some difficulty in coming up with a potential future name or codename for a handet. That's possibly why they're hosting a poll on which name to side with – so far they've got the HTC Jovi, HTC Zeal, HTC Wildfire, and the HTC Festi. If you're fan of HTC on their Facebook page, you may be able to change the course of what may potentially happen – all with your vote; and possibly others. However, it's still yet not clear if HTC will actually go through with the winning name and use it. Aside from the the name they throw up, there is no word on which mobile platform this device will end up running – you never know, maybe it could be the start of their plans of making their own smartphone operating system.

Hmm, on the poll it says "We are looking for a name that is playful and full of youth." So maybe its something like the HTC Smart? And entry level smartphone, but for the American/European market. Maybe even a response to the Kin, to some extent.
