What can Taiwan based HTC do? This year, they have launched a handset in the HTC One that is giving the Samsung Galaxy S4 a challenge; taking a page from Samsung, HTC has taken design cues from its flagship Android phone and is adding an HTC One mini and an unannounced phablet version of the phone...

Even after I, a highly disappointed former HTC user who's lost respect for the company, knew this was BS when I heard about it. Yes they're struggling, but they're bringing the best out of Apple, Samsung, Sony and LG. It isn't HTC's time yet to leave the battlefield.

A lot of phone market shares are dropping with the rise of cheaper Chinese android alternatives...hopefully HTC can pull through :)

This is HTCs challenge. The cheaper Chinese Android alternatives don't have to be better than HTC. Just good enough. And cheaper.

heh... HTC is putting the One on verizon really soon, seeing as the DNA officially got retired from the site. So that is some stupid bulls**t, why sell when they are about to make a s**t ton of money. Nah HTC is fine yo

HTC better hurry up and release it on VZW because the iPhone 6 and Note 3 are on the way soon so they better get some sales while they still can.

Sounds like someone at HTC's Family Day Event tried to cover-up the obvious. Even companies making a profit are getting banged up by the Analyst. HTC "appreciated the support" of its customers, but the LACK of support TO the customers is what brought them to this point.

Not only is the HTC One a treat for the eyes, the uni-body aluminum build makes it the opposite of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is made from plastic.
what about http://www.gsmarena.com/asus_p
i dont hear or see much about that and from reviews its better then the htc one

It would be funny as heck if Apple bought them.

If and IF, HTC is Really going to be Sold, then Maybe Microsoft can make an Offer to Buy HTC since Microsoft was looking at both Nokia and HTC to Market and Distribute Microsoft's Windows Phone Platform to the World. Microsoft had Chosen Nokia because of the Instability of HTC at the time and also because HTC would NOT Commit 100% to Just Windows Phone. There were also a bunch of other reasons that Everyone can Add here if they so choose.
Instead of HTC Disappearing and going away, then let the Money Machine that can Afford to throw their Money away like the $900,000,000.00 that was just written off because of the Surface RT Tablet and the Windows RT Debacle.
HTC IS and HAS Been a Quality Manufacturer. HTC was building Phones for a LOT of other Manufacturers before deciding to Just Build their Own Devices.
I'm NOT saying that Microsoft Just Buy HTC if there is NO NEED for HTC to be Sold. But, if HTC is in Worse Dire Straights than HTC is Willing to let everyone know about, then that's Why Microsoft Should Step In and Buy HTC.
Have 2 Different Manufacturers Building Windows Phone for the World of Consumers that Would Benefit from having More than just 1 Manufacturer to choose from.

If not company endorsed, she could be out to damage them for unspecified reasons.

The only good phone company is HTC. Literally blows my mind that they aren't doing too great, but that's because of Verizon making droid a priority. They screwed HTC and said let's take te 3 new, not really new at all, droids instead. The only company that can make phones like HTC..... Is HTC. The LG G2 is the only phone so far I've ever seen compete with HTC's game changing designs. Samsung is a smart company but they don't revolutionize phones. The new iPhone will not contend with anything. I still think HTC is the best and will pull it together. I don't know where they can go though. They already made one of the best phones on the market. LG is comin on strong.
Gotta love the future and what it brings!

One word: ASUS.
Asus has laptops and tablets covered, is a strong Google partner, and needs into the phone market. HTC has phone expertise, already abandoned the tablet space, and needs cash, direction, and more industry clout. If they were to merge, Taiwan would have a formidable challenger in the tech world.
