A quad-core Snapdragon? Next month? So the Zenith is like a WP One X, just with a better processor. I don't really like WP, but I'll check this out.

4. marchels14 posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:02 4 3

i thought that WP8 OS can only support dual core, from single core to quad core that fast!

5. Veigald posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:07 10 3

WP8 can support up to 128 cores, I think?

6. lsguntu posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:21 2 2

I think its 64 cores

9. ahomad posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:32 1 13

you both wrong, he is talking about cores, not users!!!

17. Pdubb posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:15 8 2

I laughed then thumbed you down. Stop hating on WP.

30. Whodaboss posted on 09 Aug 2012, 21:32

I know what you mean. I don't like the hating, but at first read, that was funny!

31. ripp747 posted on 09 Aug 2012, 21:49

I laughed a bit longer and gave it a thumbs up. Still looking forward to release though.

20. jtech posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:49

Not funny

25. ahomad posted on 09 Aug 2012, 12:58 1

its just a joke, I don't really hate wp8, actually I am holding on buying a tab waiting for surface and other W8 tabs

26. rodex posted on 09 Aug 2012, 13:13 1

Yes, it is 64 cores. they mentioned it earlier in their windows 8 summit

7. Gcombs posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:26 5 1

I wish these WP8 devices start coming out. I can't wait to get rid of this Droid Razr no disrespect to Android but I ain't feeling it. I wish I had my Trophy til WP8 hits the market.

8. ahomad posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:31 1 7

only if there is a way to make this Zenith run android!!

Microsoft better hope Windows RT (Tablet version for 8) kicks off like crazy.
Been using W8 RTM for a few days and excluding driver issues, it feels like an enhanced 7 but with a side of ugly. Definitely doesn't deserve to be enforced onto desktops.
I can get use to the ugly start menu but the biggest annoyance has got to be it appearing when scrolling to the bottom left.

Windows phone 7 was done very well by Microsoft I do have to say. The smoothest phone to compare to the iPhone. Way smoother than android. But lack of apps is what killed it for me and had me running back to apple and android devices. But windows 8 should be a big hit. I like what windows have begun to roll out. Keep it up Microsoft.

13. snowgator posted on 09 Aug 2012, 10:54 1 1

HTC could use any hit right now. They are still very capable of putting out good devices.

The problem is Nokia offers a lot more to WP users right now. If HTC and Samsung are serious about seeing the upside to WP 8 and beyond, and I hope they are, they need to realize that their ecosystems need to have fun stuff that sets them apart. It's not like they can't use exclusives on their Android offerings too, so why not?

22. Aeires (unregistered) posted on 09 Aug 2012, 12:37

What do you feel Nokia offers that HTC can't? Both build great handsets that are unique in their own ways, just completely different from each other in style.

Only thing that comes to mind from Nokia is better cameras, but HTC isn't a slag in that department either.

Either way, W8 users have a lot to look forward to.

24. snowgator posted on 09 Aug 2012, 12:56 1 2

Nokia has exclusives out the wa-zoo. They work hard to offer a deep user experience with apps only they develop for their users and exclusives with other developers first. They often give a richer experience in the apps where they can.

They also have been extremely quick with firmware updates and software improvements, something neither Samsung or HTC can say either on their WP or Android offerings right now.

How much of that is MS going to let happen? That was my first thinking when I first heard Nokia was producing phones.

I don't own a Windows phone so I'm not sure how much freedom MS is giving each carrier and OEM to fringe upon. I see it all the time on Android so I'm curious to how it works in this environment. My first thought was MS would not be as tolerant as Google is with Android because it develops a customer base that is unhappy about not getting timely updates. Is MS more in control of the updates or do the OEM's have a large say in them?

14. Gcombs posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:02 3 4

I think Samsung can truly do some real major things with W8 and WP8. I would love to see Samsung put out an W8 tablet with that S Pen like their Galaxy Tab and also a WP8 Note type device would be a business tycoons dream.

16. good2great posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:06 4 3

no disrespect to your comment but we heard enough about samsung already...lol

its time for some other companies to shine...

18. buggerrer posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:17 2 2

if other companies can't "shine" like Samsung
why would I buy their prodcust?
sorry im not loyal to any company, and its a childish thing
i'll pay only for who bring us a good product, and in WP mostly Nokia or Samsung.

19. Pdubb posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:20 1 1

If they want to shine they need to step out of the shadows and do something! Nokia stepped- out but the others are being to safe and not really doing anything with any wow factor. With that said I cannot wait to see what these will be like. *fingers crossed*

23. Gcombs posted on 09 Aug 2012, 12:43 2

Any new WP8 device news is all good news to me. I want all OEM to shine for us consumers. I want choices for all carriers.

28. SleepingOz posted on 09 Aug 2012, 17:13

Haters gonna hate, right?

15. 9_HeLLs_oF_DrOid posted on 09 Aug 2012, 11:03 4 2

Yes, the real competitor to Android is just a month away. Can't wait to see WP8 rising!
