HTC Trophy's launch imminent by Verizon?
Yesterday we reported that the HTC Trophy is going to be a global roaming device, and the new screen shots have confirmed this, as the phone will operate on CDMA, EVDO Rev A, Quad-band GSM & Tri-band UMTS networks.
Other features of the HTC Trophy include a 1GHz processor, 3.8" WVGA display, 5MP Autofocus camera with LED flash, 720p video recording, 16GB of on-board memory, 576MB RAM / 512MB ROM , FM Radio, and will support DLNA. The software will include an on-screen virtual QWERTY keyboard, social networking live tiles, Zune music and videos, Blockbuster and Netflix video streaming, Xbox Live integration,Windows Phone Marketplace, and there will be an HTML browser, but it appears that Flash is not yet supported.

Emanate means for something to spread out from a source. It could be the case that you meant to use that word; but, more than likely, you meant to use imminent.

I don't know when they posted it, but Verizon has a brochure on their website with the HTC Trophy on it (still no release date, though):

yes... they have to be optomized for it... u realize all the dual core phones out right now barely do anything cause android isnt optomized for it...

Really??? So ALL phones should NOW have dual core processors with 8mp cameras?
The standards now change when MS/Verizon (finally) release a phone. Haters....
How many phones actually have those specs right now?? I say that when the battery technology gets better, then sure.....

first off you need to clam down i wasnt hating. where in that statement did i say ALL or verizon. i just saying that 1ghz is top of the line last year if they want to have w7 to be the top os then they need top of line hardware.

I have it on pretty good authority that it may not launch at all any time soon. Its not perfect info and could be wrong. An associate (I'll call him/her that to protect) works for verizon and told me that the trophy was held up indefintiely, he/she seemed to think that they might be waiting for a more improved device. Not sure but something to think about. I'd venture to say its plausible or I imagine I'd see verizon having it all over their website as opposed to some page that's a little difficult to navigate to.
I've been waiting for this for a while now, I guess a few more months wont hurt. i wonder if it had anything to do with MS changing the min specs on the phones???/ Thoughts???
