0. phoneArena 01 Sep 2011, 13:34 posted on

With today's announcement, HTC unveiled not one, but two well-spec'd Mango-powered handsets, in the form of the HTC Titan and HTC Radar. Obviously, the much beefier of the two is the HTC Titan, which incorporates a pretty respectful list of features, the most impressive of which being its gigantic 4.7" screen...

In fact apps on WP7 can lag terribly. It's only WP7 OS that is fast, the apps on WP7 are not fast.

Well, it would be great if there are no laggy apps in mango, but with my NoDo Omnia 7 there was alot of them.

Yep there was a problem with the scrolling and Microsoft fixed it in the next update ... I have Mango RTM update on my Omnia 7 and all the scrolling is fixed by Microsoft ... but there are some apps that are badly written and lag but those apps are mostly cheap fillers or spammers :)

Wow, didn't even know you could have such a ugly color on the live tiles, grey...

I'd trade less pocket space for the more well rounded Galaxy Note although mango looks appealing

I have been playing with a trophy and I am super impressed with WPOS 7. Mango on the big screen will be awesome. Im imagining an update soon for higher res on the titan. Its going to be all good!!

Screen-res is part of the hardware. A software update cannot boost it.

No flash, not a big deal. As long as theres html5, supertube, or lazytube, I'm good. Youtube client on wp7 100% better. Why? They play HD. Customization, not a big deal either, because you don't need to on wp7. Most everything is intergrated in the OS. If your arguement is in regards to custom ringtones, that's coming with mango update. Wallpapers, not a problem. Its an early OS. More major updates coming like Apollo. Rumor has it as yearly major updates. Who knows what MS may address then. They do listen to their customers you know. As you may know, this is just HTC. We have Nokia to look forward too. They are supposedly to who have the upper hand on wp7. Carl Zeis optics, thats something to look forward too.

wp7 is just a boring os. I get the point of the os allowing you to quickly navigate through simple tasks but the tiles with no background or customization its just boring. I need colors on the screen.

Granted, it does look boring on the computer. As a WP7, I myself started to think the same thing. However, if you go and use one (especially using it extensively), it's not boring anymore.

I also think it's too big, but if the camera is as good as Nokia N8.

I'm waiting for a new phone to come out that beats the N8's camera AND has better specs.

But I got the feeling I'll have to wait a few more years for that to happen...

And Bada is nice, but even the newest Wave3 has only 5 megapixels :(

That Fujitsu Windows Phone may be what you're looking for.

I read a prewiew done by gsmarena on the wave 3, and they said that it was a 5 MP camera, but it was a extrmely good 5 MP camera that had very good colors and sharpness. I think you should have a look at the wave 3's camera, it is better than you think.

I myself have both the Nokia N8 and the Wave. And i can tell you that i like the pictures on the wave better. The wave has better colors than the N8, and i personally think that the wave's 5 MP camera is just as good if not even better than the N8.

Whatever issue Peterlfromsweden has with wp7 and his "samsung" opmnia 7, i just don't see it on my HD7. Though i will admit the screen and the camera could be better. He also claims the lack of customization. And one of his arguement pertains to wallpapers. That is not i big deal! Smart phones nowadays are meant to ease the social life; games, music, social connection, movies, navigation, shopping, photos, documents, and so forth. Wp7 does this just as any other OS, but more with ease. Most of this ease is intergrated in the OS itself. That's what makes wp7 stand out. Do more in less time. Frankly i don't see it as the case with other OSs. I know for sure android is one that is not easy to deal with. Too many options, too many screens. iOS in the other hand is somewhat the same. I'm pretty sure that most people that use other OSs besides wp7 do the basics and not realize the potential of smart phoned. And thats from experience.

Be very interesting to see how big this thing is once you have it in your hand. Having problems thinking 4.7" isn't too far to the uncomfortable size, but next to the Radar, it doesn't look that bad. (And it looks like a toy compared to the Streak!!)

Considering how few 4.0" or bigger options there are for W7 Mango (so far, only this one) , there may not be much of a choice for those who want something full touch from MS this time around.

hey peter, what i notice, everytime you cant win an argument, you stop posting on that one, and you start a new one.
look, i dont have any problems with you being a bada fanboy, just stop bashing on other os'es with arguments that arent true, or are getting fixed, or are useless, be happy with you child os and your little wave, and dont bother us. geez.

Come on people, stop hating.
I own an iPhone 4, my dad has a Samsung Galaxy S, my best friend own a HD7. They are equally good. Different people are more suited to different phones, it all boils down to a matter of personal preference. :)
