How is this bad?? Just download skype onto your phone if you want to use this when it launches and for the mobile hotspot, most who will use it will root and use wireless instead of paying the rediculous amount for the hotspot.

Pass... I wish HTC never marketed this phone as the one after your dream phone.. Expected way too much because of it and now have been left wanting... I'm considering the Bionic or even the Incredible 2 OR I may just switch over to Sprint for their dual core 3D phone... Some many options!?!

Altough I will be getting the iPhone 4 because of its sexiness and Apple goodness, if I were to get a new Android phone it would definitely be the Thunderbolt. The Bionic may beat it spec wise, but it looked extremely laggy at CES...

This phone looks awesome.... Finally going to upgrade my 2 year old phone. Why would anyone buy a 3G phone, if they live in a 4G area?

Like kocho said, why invest in already outdatedtechnology when you can buy something that is packed to the gills with new technology. Even though it doesnt pack in a dual core processor, it still has a newer tuned 1ghz one and has 768 megs of ram. Plus with htc sense UI there is zero lag compared to other smartphones ive used from my friends. i cant wait to get rid of my dumbphone, lg envy and finally get the thunderbolt!! but hey thats just my unrequested two cents lol.

I have a feeling the reason the hotspot feature is disabled is because VZW hasn't figured out how much to charge for a 4G hotspot.

BIG Miss HTC!!!
1) The kickstand covers the external speaker?!?!?
2) The charging port is in the worst possible place. So, I cant plug it while its propted up on its side, unless I drill a hole in my desk and feed the power cord up into the phone as I watch videos. MISS, MISS.
HTC's reason for these obvious design flaws...neccessary in order to avoid a possible antenna issue.
Release the lions!!
