HTC apologized on its official Facebook page for missing updates to two of its popular Android handsets, indicating that they are working closely with Verizon to make them happen...

HTC is not only company that is late to update it devices with Android is very difficult to phone makers to update Android software with too much rules.

It's the carrier that holds up the updates. Just like the Galaxy nexus for verizon, they should have gotten jellybean as soon as the unlocked version got it. Sadly, that didn't happen....

What rules? I can understand the carrier branded devices being late since it needs to go through carrier certification but there is no excuse for non-carrier branded devices to be not updated by the manufacturer. What's worse is how they handled the situation. They put out a date with no updates. If your customer has to ask for a status on the deadline missed, that's not good

Are you dumb? The carrier set the rule and what apps need to be put in and what kind of radio and so on. And both of them are carrier branded. Many of the unlock HTC phone as been updated with ICS.

While I empathize with impatient owners (I have a BIONIC waiting for ICS), at least HTC came clean. The same cannot be said for Motorola now, can it?

Of course it's Verizon's fault. They're ridiculous. Verizon has the best network but they are horrible with updates.
