Well done HTC. Don't change this decision.

The EVO/Incredible/Inspire will get Gingerbread, just not sense 3.0. I'm sure Galaxy S will too in the "near" future.

Increduble likely this summer as reported on other sites.

HTC has confirmed on it's Twitter feed that the older phones will get updated with some features of the new Sense, just not all as the hardware is not compatible with all of the features

the galaxyS has already been said by samsung to start its 2.3 worldwide roll out in the last week or so of april.
while this is a good decision on HTC's part for quality assurances, it really makes you wonder just how much system resources are taken up by sence 3.0. I wonder how that will effect other performance benchmarks.

They have to be lying just to give more incentive to buy their newer devices. It doesn't make sense that the single core Flyer that uses the same Qualcomm 8255 cpu and Adreno 205 gpu as the Thunderbolt, Inspire, and Desire HD can run sense 3.0 yet the others can't?!? Come on htc, lets be honest...

correction: looks like the flyer has the adreno 220 not the 205 as I previously stated so this could be the driving force behind htc Sense 3.0. However, I still find it hard to believe that the adreno 205 couldn't handle it just fine...

Is this confirmed? I've been trying to find information to confirm if the flyer runs adreno 205 or 220?

Sense 3.0 looks fantastic. And this is how it should be. Phone support should push phones to the latest version of software the handset can handle. Let the software updates keep the phone fresh so that the user doesn't jump to another manufacture, and let the innovations sell future phones to keep them in the family.
