okay kids, i guess the Master has to come in and settle this for both of you now. it's getting way out of hand and not going anywhere.

HTC Sensation vs. Galaxy S II

1. BUILD QUALITY
that goes to the Sensation of course with it's fantastic Uni-Body construction. it'll be a hard phone to topple in build quality but i don't think any of us here refute that however just from looks alone you can tell the Galaxy S II feels better than any original Galaxy S so the win goes to HTC but Samsung also get kudos for making plastics come together so well. HTC WIN.

1/0

2. USER INTERFACE
i myself don't really like HTC Sense but in my professional, unbiased opinion HTC does do a really good job with Sense and they always have and now we have Samsung getting up there among the Overlay bad boys with TW4 which brings a lot of nice widgets and eye candy that makes the Android experience much more refined it's still far from going into the depth that HTC has gone into creating a more personalized experience for their Android devices. Sense has become an integral part of the Android ecosystem because of that however that very pursuit can also be a downside for HTC because to us that want a simpler, no glitzy BS, Android experience you're not going to find it with Sense and it's extensive integration into the platform. TW4 however does present amazing visuals sometimes and performs a little snappier, it can be a little too colorful for some people's taste and lacks that sophistication Sense has but it does do a good job with simplistic appeal. am i saying anyone is better? not in this case. i'd prefer TW4 myself but they're both winners here. HTC and their veteran skinning status with Sense 3.0 and Samsung's fresh and exciting TW4. you can't go wrong with either and it should be your say. TIE.

2/1

3. SPECS
this is one area that must be awarded to the Galaxy S II. Samsung's Exynos processor in the Galaxy S II is really a step ahead of everybody and i won't get into the Nitty Gritty of it if i don't have to (i can though so don't try me, you'll save yourself time and embarrassment if you just take my word for it) but HTC's now commonly used Qualcomm MSM8660 or S3 is the worst dual-core SoC available. it's not real noticeable navigating through the platform due to HTC's fine job with Sense but in Video Playback, Games and other processor pushers like those the Galaxy S II will be noticeably better than a Sensation. then there's SA+ vs qHD, there's trade offs for each and both are fine looking displays. i personally prefer SA+ but i won't let that affect my decision. Galaxy S II WIN.

2/2

in closing i will say you can all have your preferences but in the long run what's really going to matter is how Future Proof the device is. both phones are very underwhelmed by what's available to take advantage of their powerful hardware but later on in the year it's not going to feel good having a Sensation and seeing Galaxy S II owners playing the next coolest game 100% smooth as butter while your Sensation is just barely making it through the levels. also as far as prompt Android updates. i think Google really realizes there's a problem with fragmentation and is trying to take steps to eliminate it. until we see those measures for ourselves we really can't say for certain based on the past how fast our phones will get Ice Cream Sandwich.

Wow way too many phone wars going on. It all comes down to personal preference. I remember back in the days when cell phones were just about talk and text. Believe it or not i still have a flip phone that does only talk and text and im fine with it. I pay only $30 a month for service and couldn't be more happy.

Its people like you guys on here that want the latest and greatest that allows these wireless company to jack up the price of their service. So if your paying at about $100 a month on service i wouldn't be surprised if your one of those people that are glued to your phone.

aim for the head, that way you can kill people easier on halo- that's the truth and I'm not lying. Everytime I aim at the head in Halo I kill really quick. Like if you use a sniper rifle it's a one hit kill but only if you hit the head. Ok READaSH1t just a few pointers for a newbie on HALO.

wow myLITTLEpony.. chill the f**k out. everyone has their preference some people like htc some dont.. if your a die hard galaxy fan than cool but that doesnt make everyone else an idiot.. it terms of needs let everyone else figure out what they want and stop flaming..

in terms of the phones sgs2 was going to be my first choice.. now i cant get that as it wont be for verizon.. the prime might be but not sure if thats what im going to want.. so the htc vigor will be my next choice trumping the clockspeed anyway at 1.5ghz DC sgs2 has 1.2ghz DC I like htc Sense and htc did something sammy didnt.. I love that while driving i can answer my phone and still see my gps with very few issues. with every other brand i need to answer the call press home pull down notifications and then select nav. and then it lags...

The review model of the gs2 i got lagged pretty hard when i was trying to drive and talk at the same time. or if it was getting ready to use gps and do anything else for that matter.

So anyway in terms of your opinions keep them objective and stop f**king flaming.

I love the sgsII but the vigor is good looking, doesnt feel cheap, and has sense UI which is my favorite of android.... so i would get it if i could :P but i just got my 9930 and im happy with it.

lol the vigor will probably be shipped with cracked screens just like the leaked one was. Htc does a horrible job at making their screens durable. It still amazes me how the leaked vigor had a huge cracked screen. Reminds me of the horror stories of the thunderbolt.

I wonder if they'll enclude headphones with all of their devices. That will make the choice between the the Vigor and the Droid Prime a little tougher.

i'm thinking this special edition will be pretty limited and expensive. it might be worth it if you're in the market for the best mp3 player experience. i actually think my Skullcandy FMJs are the bomb diggity even though Beats are a little better the FMJs are really hard to beat and i got mine for $18 w/ a lifetime warranty.
