HTC Rezound against the world: spec comparison
0. phoneArena posted on 03 Nov 2011, 15:19
Verizon's HTC Rezound spec sheet has arrived and it's truly a beast: 4.3-inch 720p LCD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and support for Verizon's blazing fast 4G LTE network. But that's only part of the picture - the Rezound redefines high-definition audio...

Motorola really needs to improve their camera module on their phones...

I wont make any moves until reviews are out. I hate how hard it is to view my thunderbolt's screen outdoors, and if the Rezound shares the same flaw, forget it. Also, I kinda am tired of only having red, orange, or green light for my LED notification light. I feel like HTC didn't even consider changing that for this phone.

What color would you like to have? White? Maybe black???

I learned with mine that I want it anyway with all its minuses. There was nothing I wanted more and it was still worth it.

I think the phone looks good and the specs are in line with the other phones dropping this month. Funny how the thickness and weight are posted. Its kinda like the fat chick in the group..

The only thing that scares me is the battery, but you will be able to buy a bigger one/another one. It confuses me why HTC didn't give its most power intensive phone a massive battery. And I really hope HTC releases ICS for my Evo 3d and the other Sense 3.0 devices at the same time if not sooner than the Rezound. (Hoping, but not betting)

Ya inferior right. LCD don't pentile to get 720 screen. Super AMOLED screen has a bluish haze when at low brightness and the factor that it use 2X the power to display white then LCD. And the facts that it can't display accurate color. All AMOLED screen has over saturated color.

dying technology? So why android phones are chasing so badly retina for almost 1 year? and finally they got it...1 year after.

manufacturers doing everything to get your attention.
They don't work on really good displays...res is the only measure. it's nothing if it is impossible to use under the sunlight..it has great ppx.
We got dual cores. But, hey! We not gonna give you bigger battery because we don't have one. We don't develop that kind of technology. It's not our business.
We will give you super duper quad core processor with old adreno 205/220, s**tty camera and huge display to convince you you just made a great deal.
it won't live up to your expectations, but hey! You got the latest and greatest!!!
That's why I still like Nokia.
They made Lumia 800 which satisfying me almost completely.
It's not the fanciest phone around, but has everything which customer could possibly want or use in day-to-day life.
This crazy race between htc, sammy and the others is boring and useless.
They should focus and work harder on what they got right now to make a really good, outstanding product. Not buggy crap which is replaced immediately by newer model.

All Samsung phones are "100% pure garbage, just something to break up buds on". On AT&T both atrix are better than the sgs2. Wonder when Samsung will roll out ICS? Next summer. The SGS2 backing is only for the international version since they've had it for more than half a year.

I really like this phone. Battery is my only concern, but oh well... To me, it's worth it. It has better screen then Razr and Nexus. It WILL have the best camera on it. Its processor is 1.5.It has beats. It has sense, which I love. I'll get mine on the 14th!

I will stick with the Galaxy Nexus nothing on verizon will beat this device.

wow at these comments. i've been saying all along this phone would have terrible battery life. xD
a 1.5GHz S3 passes but remember that higher clock frequency equals faster consumption of battery life and in reality it's maybe only as good as a 1GHz OMAP4430 forget about comparing it to a higher clocked 4430 or a 4460 and to those of you who says this doesn't matter use the browser on a Galaxy S II w/ Exynos and compare it to browsing on an EVO 3D.

Well now. I was wondering when HTC would come out with a more beastly phone than the Sensation. I'm loving that they've finally cut out with the bulls**t practice of only throwing in like 6 gigs of internal memory. However, battery life on the Rezound is still a concern for me, and I can't just ignore the Razr. I do look forward to seeing this phone come out though. :)

Oh, and Gator, you're awesome even as a WP whore. Don't let anyone tell you different. ;)

It was a compliment. I was kidding about the Windows Phone jab. You're always a great person to talk to on here. :)

um... the battery of rezound is not good for an HD mobile... so... it will not last long ! :)
87. gtrxman posted on 05 Nov 2011, 13:05 0 0
I'm really disappointed by the Rezound. It's got great specs but the overall package leaves me wanting. I was hoping for something more. A top phone needs to have great specs, which this phone does, but it also needs to be stylish and sleek. This phone is simply neither. I'm so glad I pre-ordered the RAZR.
Misses for me:
Insufficient battery
Boring styling - looks like any other mid level HTC phone. No differentiation.
LCD screen just OK. Resolution is good but does the difference really matter at 4"?
Heavy and thick.
Beats audio is a gimmick.

I think it's pretty stylish. I'm going to sound like iPhoners, but all HTC phones do look similar, but that's why some people like them.
