HTC One selling well, but not as well as the Samsung Galaxy S4
0. phoneArena 05 May 2013, 01:55 posted on
A survey of 20 AT&T and Sprint stores in Los Angeles reveals that the HTC One is selling well, but not as well as the Samsung Galaxy S4; despite a nearly two week head start for HTC's new Android flagship model, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has out sold its aluminum clad rival and has been returned fewer times than the HTC One has...

Lol see?? can u and d 4 behind u make a valid argument or response with what wev said?
Whats d problem if sleepingOZ is one of samsung's students haha atleast he can provide valid arguments lol not just a response with "ur a paid troll,, the artcle was paid by samsung, the artcle is bias, samsung copied(no valid evdnce), cheap plastic, samdung, gimmicks"
Someone who replied w/ valid arguments
Someone who commentd first in an 'artcle that praised samsung' w/ troll words or bashing samsung w invalid arguments

Yeah, come with some valid arguments that actually make sense, next time.. =]

Who did Samsung copy?
Show me a phone that has all the same hardware as the SGS4
You can't because no other phone in the world has the same specs as the SGS4
Every book ever written is made up of the same 24 letters in the alphabet,
Its how you rearranged them, that make masterpieces

People against main stream will always hate on the top companies for stupid reasons.

Samsung copy from LG, most people can't accept the truth.
Yes, in features, the Galaxy S4 wins, no smartphones can compete with the Galaxy S4 when it comes to features. I'm just saying that Samsung copy two smart features from LG, even though Samsung only copy one feature, it still counts as COPY.
I'm not trying to be mean, but, why so butthurt?
33. BadAssAbe (Posts: 456; Member since: 22 Apr 2011)
Me = butthurt
Because I want SGS4 to Win! LOL
I want the phone with the best hardware to sell the most.
No person/company is without sin

Ok, next time, when you post a comment, don't forget to type (I'm a Samsung fanboy).
67. chistoefurpuffer (Posts: 140; Member since: 11 Mar 2013)
It's not fanboyism when you can actually put up a valid argument.
79. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
lmao have to say was fun reading all these comments, you give proof and only say whats there to see yet you get 4 + fanboys attacking you because there so in love with a faceless company
truly pathetic these fanboys, they needed to come at you together and you still proved your point........they think if there in groups they win
least your one of the more reasonable on here

Same thing will be said for L.G they copy Samsung design for one of there device......many phones have same feature......the thing that make companies different from each other that how well they use them....and right now Samsung is doing well
65. chistoefurpuffer (Posts: 140; Member since: 11 Mar 2013)
So LG hasn't copied Samsung with their mobile designs?
Have you seen the Note 2 and Optimus G Pro?
75. xperiaDROID (banned) (Posts: 5629; Member since: 08 Mar 2013)
Of course I've seen it before! Even though LG copied Samsung (design) or Samsung copied LG (smart features), they won't sue each other, cuz they are KOREAN.
170. chistoefurpuffer (Posts: 140; Member since: 11 Mar 2013)
Samsung was first to introduce smart features! It all started with Popup Play, then LG came out with that crappy Q Slider, ever since they've been just poking at each other about it

I totally agree with you, people just follow the crowd when they get a new phone, that's why a lot of manufacturers get overshadowed. But I'm happy to see quite a few xz and one lately

Samsung first showed the smart pause feature...lg just announced that by hearing the rumours about s4...
Still i didn't saw any videos from lg showing smart pause....
Lg optimus g pro is ditto copy of note 2 when it comes to appearance..

I support Z and One, S4.... not that much
8. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
It's totally naive to think One could challenge S4 in sales numbers.
Samsung will smash records again, no matter how good the rivals are - just look at the news of delays and shortages("overwhelmig and unprecedented demand") in some markets despite the humongous initial production effort by Samsung.
However, within its own realm the HTC one is a major success already, and a turnaround for HTC.
Even if it sells 10 million units this year it will be by far their biggest hit since the original Desire.
And I believe it will sell even more than that
112. roldefol (Posts: 4312; Member since: 28 Jan 2011)
Exactly. It's ridiculous to compare HTC and Samsung sales anymore - that game ended when the GS3 arrived on all carriers. I see them everywhere now, and you know what? I don't want one. It's become the Honda of phones - highly competent, good enough for everyone, but plasticky and a bit boring.
HTC is fighting for relevance and profitability, not the sales crown. They're the Mazda of phones. Those looking for style and substance and some neat features like stereo speakers and OIC will appreciate it. Screw the sales figures, I just want competition.
156. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
Honda and Mazda??
Man, that's basically the same thing!
Here's a proper comparison: Galaxy is like a Volkswagen Golf, and HTC One is like a Volvo V40 - Gorgeous, great car in the same class.
But it can only dream about reaching the sales of the Golf

Maybe in Europe, not North America. Hell no would I compare Samsung to Volkswagen. But comparing phones to cars is a bit pointless. There's a best phone for each of us, whereas the Prius is clearly the best car for everyone.

comparing phones to cars is a very difficult thing to do accurately. i've been known to try it myself but i quit that. xD

A friend of mine has a dead pixel problem in his htc one, he doesn't notice it bcoz it only appears when you browse webpages or view certain images that has a red ,brown or purple tinge to it.
13. 1ceTr0n (Posts: 549; Member since: 20 May 2012)
I exchange my Note 2 for 3 stuck pixels, no f**king way I would allow for a single stuck/dead pixel on a $600 + phone.

22. BadAssAbe (Posts: 456; Member since: 22 Apr 2011)
S4 is better
Bigger screen, bigger removable battery, and sdcard slot while shorter, lighter, and thinner than HTC ONE
FYI: faster processor, better ram DDR3 and gorilla glass 3
HTC ONE Boom sound
Most people will buy a case, so a metal body is pointless.
